Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Some rogues focus their training on the art of thrown weaponry until they become a veritable storm of steel raining down on their foes. Able to draw and hurl small weapons as fast as it takes most people to draw a single weapon. These rogues are often nicknamed ‘Bladestorms’ by both the people working with them and those who find themselves on their receiving end.

The Art of the Throw

3rd-level Bladestorm feature

Starting at 3rd level, you gain increased expertise with throwing weapons. Boomerang, Dart, and any weapons with both the light and thrown properties can be drawn in the same action they are used to be thrown.

Additionally, the range of these weapons increases for you. The normal range of these weapons increases to be equal to the original long range and the long range increases to double the weapon’s original long range i.e. a weapon with range 20/60 now has range 60/120.

Return to Sender

3rd-level Bladestorm feature

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, any time you miss when throwing a Dart or a weapon with the light and thrown properties, it immediately returns to your hand. Any time you’ve thrown a Boomerang, it also returns to your hand after it hits.

Clear Target

9th-level Bladestorm feature

Starting at 9th level, you gain an additional way to use Sneak Attack when your target is in clear line of sight. You don’t need advantage on the attack roll to use your Sneak Attack against a creature that has no other creatures within 10 feet of it, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll. All other rules for Sneak Attack still apply to you.

Summoning

13th-level Bladestorm feature

You summon all weapons you’ve thrown back to hand causing them to strike your foes as they return. As an action, you can summon all weapons you’ve thrown in the last 1 minute which aren’t currently in your inventory back to your inventory. If any creatures you’ve thrown weapons at previously are still alive, make an attack roll against them with the weapons that hit them as these weapons strike again on their return.

The returning weapons must have some way of returning back to you simply. They may travel around corners but not across planes. This is at the discretion of the DM.

You can use this feature once per short rest.

Hail of Weapons

17th-level Bladestorm feature

Your hands are a blur as you hurl a barrage of weapons at your foes. Any time you throw a weapon, you throw twice the amount of weapons. Roll separate attacks for each.
