Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Your magical talents are unorthodox, even when compared with other sorcerers. Frankly, your magic shouldn't work; your sigils are wrong, you say the incorrect incantations, and you don't even have the right spell components. Yet, there's no denying that you have powers that other spellcasters can only dream of. You might have been a disgraced scholar, kicked out of an academia that couldn't understand your work. Or you were touched by a magical paradox. Or perhaps you are just a self-taught mage who has simply never been told that what they are doing is impossible.

Magical Savant

1st-level Unlearned Arcanist feature

You have an innate sense for the arcane, and are able to intuit things without much formal education. You gain proficiency in the Arcana skill, and add your charisma modifier to Arcana skill checks. You also gain the ability to cast the Identify spell a number of times equal to your charisma modifier. This feature doesn't require material components for you.

You regain all uses of this feature after you finish a short rest.

Spellcasting Knack

1st-level Unlearned Arcanist feature

Add two cantrips from any class to your list of spells known. These don't count against your limit of spells known. You also gain the ability to temporarily learn other spells.

After you finish a long rest, add a sorcerer spell that you are able to cast to your list of spells known. Add another spell at 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th levels. You can only add 1 spell per spell level with this feature, and these spells must be 5th level and below. Spells added with this feature don't count against your limit of spells known.

These spells last for 24 hours, or until you finish a long rest, whichever comes first.

Eldritch Negation

6th-level Unlearned Arcanist feature

You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. You also add Counterspell to your list of spells known. This spell doesn't count against your limit of spells known.

Cross-Trained

14th-level Unlearned Arcanist feature

Your ability to pick up magic now crosses normal boundaries. After you finish a long rest, you can temporarily add a spell 5th level or lower to your list of spells known. You must have either seen it being cast, or have be affected by it. You can also chose a spell that you've studied in a spell book or have had explained to you by someone who was able to cast it. This spell can be from any class list, and doesn't count against your limit of spells known. At 18th level, you may pick two spells.

These spells are lost after 24 hours. Spells that you have casted using this feature count as spells you have seen for the purposes of adding them to your spells known.
