Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Your body is the vessel for two separate entities. You, you are the remnants of the person you once were. You are in charge most of the time, making decisions, speaking with others (though you don’t risk that very often), and making your way through life. They, on the other hand, are an amalgamation of your rage and despair. They only take control when a situation necessitates it, ripping and tearing flesh and bone with disturbing vitriol. You are both ashamed and afraid of the person you become when you release them, but you can never seem to stop them from destroying that which you believe deserves destruction.

Are you really all that different?

Bloodlust

You gain 1 Bloodlust Point when entering a rage, as well as when you deal damage for the first time on your turn. The maximum number of Bloodlust you can have at once starts at 2, and increases by 2 at 7th, 13th, and 19th level, for a total of 8. You can also expend accumulated Bloodlust Points to gain the following Bloodlust Features

You can expend 2 bloodlust points to gain one additional attack on your turn.

You can expend 4 bloodlust points to take the dash action for free on your turn

You can expend 6 Bloodlust points to gain advantage on all attacks you make until the end of your next turn, including reaction attacks

You can expend All 8 of your Bloodlust points to gain all of the effects of the other Bloodlust features

You can only use one Bloodlust feature per turn, and any remaining Bloodlust Points are lost during a long rest

Mania

Starting at 6th level, you may add your proficiency modifier to your HP max when you roll for new HP upon levelling up.

When you reduce an enemy to 0 HP, if the damage you dealt exceeds their remaining HP, the damage dealt after reducing their health is returned to you as HP (If you deal 20 damage to an enemy with only 15 HP remaining, you regain 5HP)

Also, once per turn,  you may add +10 to attack and damage rolls you make. When you choose to do this, you must roll a d20. On a 1, you make the attack against yourself, adding 10 to both the attack and damage. Each time you avoid this penalty, the DC increases by 1 (Eg. if you succeed on the first roll when a 1 is a fail, the next time you use this ability you will hit yourself on a 1 and a 2) Once you fail on this roll, the number required to hit yourself resets to 1, and you cannot use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest

Hellborn

When you enter a rage, you ignite yourself on fire. When you attack While ignited, you deal additional fire damage equal to your Barbarian level

Also, at the end of each of your turns you are raging, you take fire damage equal to 2 x your proficiency modifier. You also gain immunity to all fire damage from any other source, magical or non magical (Taking this fire damage does not continue your rage)

On your turn while raging, you may substitute one of your attacks to breath a cone of fire 15ft in front of you. Any creatures within the area of this breath attack must make a DEX saving throw (DC=8+Proficiency+STR Modifier.) A creature takes 5d6 fire damage on a failure, and half as much on a success.

When an enemy makes a successful attack against you while you are raging, you release a small ball of fire that hits the attacker without fail. For each attack made by an enemy within 60ft that is successful, the attacker takes 1d6 fire damage.

Unleash the Beast

When you enter a rage with your HP is at, or below, half of your current HP maximum, your body mutates, growing and shifting to the point of barely resembling who you once were. While Mutated, you gain the following affects:

  • Your STR score increases by 2 to a Maximum of 24
  • You gain temporary HP equal to the number of Hit Points missing from your total.
  • Attacks made while mutated crit on 1 number lower than your current requirement.
  • Your visage frightens any who can see you. Any enemies who can see you must make a WIS saving throw (DC=8+Proficiency modifier+STR Modifier) or be frightened of you for 1 hour.

If you lose all of your temp HP your rage ends (regardless of persistent rage) and you cannot rage again until you complete a short or long rest

When this rage ends by way of not attacking or being attacked, you revert back to your normal form, and you have 2 options. You can have your remaining temp HP disappear as normal, or you can regain HP equal to your remaining temporary HP and suffer a level of exhaustion for every 30 HP restored (1-29 HP does not incur exhaustion)
