Editor's Annotations

You gain the cantrip Message. If you already have the Message cantrip, you can choose another cantrip from the Warlock spell list.

Literary Savant

You receive a Magical Quill. The Quill is capable of writing on any surface, without ink, and the writing can be in any color that you wish. This magical Quill can serve as your Magical Focus. If you become separated more than 30 feet from the Quill for more than 1 minute, it magically teleports into an inter-dimensional space until you call for it, and will appear in your empty hand.

Additionally, you gain proficiency with a Forgery Kit, and when using Perception or Deception abilities with things you've written or drafted, you add your spell casting modifier instead of your proficiency bonus.

Automatic Writing

You learn the Mage Hand cantrip. As an action, you can use the Mage Hand to chronicle/record your adventures. A tome/book/journal and writing utensil floats within arms height and with 5 feet of you. The journal/book/journal writes a non-biased sequence of events within 30 feet of you. When you cast the cantrip to perform these functions, the following changes occur to the cantrip:

  1. The spell no longer requires Concentration.
  2. The duration of the cantrip changes from 1 minute to 1 hour.
  3. The cantrip can now manipulate two objects (book/journal/tome and a writing utensil/quill/pen) and can change appearance as specified by the caster to be no bigger than 3'x3'.

To use the original functions of the spell, the spell must be recast. If recast, the journal and writing utensil will drop to the ground. If recast to restart the hour duration, the objects remain in the air.

Chromatic Quill

When using your Quill as your arcane focus, if a spell you cast does damage of an elemental type (Acid, Cold, Fire, Force, Lightning, Necrotic, Poison, Psychic, Radiant, Thunder) you may change it to another type of elemental damage you could cast. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your CHA modifier (minimum of 1) before a long-rest.

Foreshadowing

You gain the Misty Visions & Mask of Many Faces Eldritch Evocation(s). If you already have them, you can choose other Eldritch Evocations for which you meet the requirements.

Mask of Many Faces: You can cast disguise self at will, without expending a spell slot.
Misty Visions: You can cast silent image at will, without expending a spell slot or material components.

Plot Twist

As you grow in your patron's power, your ability to shape reality grows. As a reaction, when you or another ally that you can see is hit with an attack or spell, you write in your book a method that forces the attack to miss. Once this power is used, it can only be used again after a short or long-rest.

Inspired Possession

As an action, you can channel your patron to manifest and to enthrall those around you with incredible tales. You select a story of might & magic, war & peace, drama & love, or friend & foe; subjecting bystanders to their emotions of the story. Creatures that can hear and understand you within 30 feet of you must make a WIS saving throw. Those that fail are incapacitated: until they take damage or you stop telling the story. Each turn after you activate this feature, you may continue to use your action to continue telling the story. Once used, this feature can't be used again until after a short or long-rest.
