Monks trained in the Way of the Vengeful Flame are masters of using their seething rage in interesting ways. They capitalize on their ability to counterattack & return intimidating attacks. They use their inner strength to reduce the impact of their enemies blows, and channel their rage into every counter. A Vengeful Flame monk is meant to hit hard and often, making them the perfect candidate to jump into the fray, causing havoc among the enemy ranks. These monks use whatever weapon they can to deal agonizing blows to their enemy, not limited to their fists & bodies the spend ages perfecting to deal the most damage possible to their enemy. It is said their Ki is as strong as adamantine, as sharp as a vorpal blade, and as powerful as a torrent of flames. Sometimes it is an actual torrent of flames made manifest..

Revenge Counter

Starting at 3rd level, you gain the following abilities with which to utilize your Ki with a vengeance. Whenever you are hit by an attack, you may use your reaction to use a Ki point and strike at them at disadvantage. If you hit you deal double the damage to them, that was dealt to yourself. You can deal this damage as Fire or Bludgeoning Damage.

Inner Flame

When you choose this path your connection to your inner flame allows you to use your Ki to channel the flame burning within. As a bonus action on your turn you can spend 1 Ki point to set your fists ablaze. Until the end of your next turn your unarmed strikes deal 1d10 Fire damage. Additionally, you learn the produce flames cantrip. Wisdom is your spell casting modifier for this spell.

Nullification

At 6th level, you can react to damage by reducing it so you can further fuel your vengeance. When you are hit by an attack, you can spend 2 Ki points as a reaction to reduce the damage by an amount equal to 1d10 + your Wisdom modifier. If you reduce the damage to zero and the attacker is within 5 feet of you, you may make an unarmed strike against that creature.

Burning Heart

Starting at level 11, You gain resistance to fire damage, in addition you gain the following benefits:

  • Spells you cast or attacks you use ignore resistance to fire damage.
  • Your eyes burn with the flames of your heart, and provides a soft glow of dim light like a torch, out to 15 feet in front of you. You gain Darkvision if you did not have it already.

Blazing Vengeance

Starting at 17th level, you become to Fire damage, and if you have been damaged since your last turn, your melee attacks are now rolled with advantage and deal an additional 1d10 Fire damage. This effect continues for as long as you take damage. Additionally you gain advantage on Intimidation checks when your fists are set ablaze.
