Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

There are many gods among the pantheons that rule over the concept of family, fertility, and loyalty. Gods of this particular designation - such as Hera, Helm, Torm, The Daghdha, Hathor, or Frey - are protectors; defenders of the love and comfort of a warm hearth. They’re patrons of warriors and defenders, mothers and fathers, anyone who would stand and fight for what is important to them. Their clerics are almost always positive forces in the world; serving and protecting their allies with powerful supporting magic and always seeking the greater good. Though they often prefer to protect than to fight outright, they are often forces to be reckoned with on the battlefield, as well.

Bonus Proficiencies

Starting at 1st level, you gain proficiency with martial weapons.

Parental Intervention

Starting at 1st level, you gain the Guidance cantrip, which you can cast as a bonus action, and at a range of up to 30 feet. This spell does not count against your Cleric spells known. In addition you can, as an action, touch a willing creature other than yourself to give it advantage on Wisdom saving throws for one minute. This feature can only affect one creature at a time.

Channel Divinity: Comforting Grasp

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to attempt to heal an ally’s damaged mind.

As an action, you can touch one willing creature to end one frightened, charmed, or stunned effect on that target. For one minute after removing one of these effects, that target is immune to that condition.

Protective Instinct

Starting at 6th level, if you use your action to target an ally with a non-damaging spell, you can make a melee weapon attack as a bonus action.

In addition, while you are concentrating on a non-damaging spell that is affecting a single ally you can, as a reaction, grant that ally temporary hit points equal to half your Cleric level + your Wisdom modifier. You can do this a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier and regain all expended uses upon taking a long rest.

Divine Strike

Starting at 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 force damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Benevolent Forbearance

Starting at 17th level, when you target an ally or allies with a non-damaging spell that requires concentration, you can target one additional ally for that spell. If you use this feature on a spell with only one target, then you can target both allies with your Protective Instinct feature.

In addition, while you are concentrating on a non-damaging spell that is targeting an ally, you have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
