Friendly Shadows

Friendly Shadows

At 1st level,  as a bonus action, your shadow stretches from your body and rises up anywhere you can see within 60ft. The shadow lasts for 1 minute or until you use this feature again. This shadow copies your form exactly except it is a pitch-black silhouette.

For the duration, you can cast spells as though you were in the shadows space, but you must use your own senses. You may also make melee attacks as if you were in its space as well.

As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the shadow up to 30 feet, but it must remain within 120 feet of you.

You can summon your shadow a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Dark Door

Starting at 6th level, when you take damage, you can use your reaction to swap locations with your shadow.

If your shadow is not summoned, you may expend a use of your "Friendly Shadows" ability to summon your shadow anywhere you can see within 30 feet.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest. At 14th level of this class, you may use this ability an aditional time.

Aided in Darkness

At 10th level, while in dim light or darkness, you can take the Hide action as a bonus action. Additionally, any spell you cast while hidden imposes disadvantage to saves against it.

Lightless Domination

At 14th level, shadow seeps from you like a viscus oil. You may summon your shadow even under a burning sun and you are always considered in dim-light.

As an action, you may devour all light nearby, creating a inhospitable sphere of darkness. All light within 30 feet of you disappears and it is considered total-darkness for a number of round equal to your proficiency bonus or until you dismiss the sphere as a bonus action. For the duration, whenever a creature hostile to you starts its turn within 30 feet of you, it must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, it takes 2d8 necrotic damage, and it gains the restrained condition. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage.

You may use this feature as if you were in your Friendly Shadows space.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
