Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow the way of the Soul of Flame are warrior monks trained to endure and master fire.  Conduits of one of the mighty Dragon gods, they are blessed with draconic might and an unfaltering will power.  These divine advocates are taught that there is no life without death, no creation without destruction, that only through the cleansing flame can that which is cancerous be purged and healthy renewal become possible. Their tenants demand passion in all aspects of life. Burn bright and true for as long as one can. Meet corruption with strength and purging flame. Greet life and love with burning passion. And only through the ashes of deception can the truth be revealed.

Primal Flame Bolt

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurl searing bolts of magical fire.

You gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. This special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 60 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is fire, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table.

When you take the Attack action on your turn and use this special attack as part of it, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action.

When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.

Blessing of Ignathrax

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, You become imbued by your deity's permanent blessing gaining resistance to fire, and a small amount of draconic might, whereas your STR score is increased by 2 and your maximum STR is raised to 22.

At 11th level your fire resistance becomes fire immunity.

Summon Soulsfire

When you choose this path at 3rd level, you can summon the primal fire spirit bound to your soul. As an action, you can expend 2 ki points to summon your soulsfire spirit.

The spirit appears in an unoccupied space of your choice you can see within 30 feet of you. Each creature within 10 feet of the spirit (other than you) when it appears must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 2d10 fire damage.

The soulsfire spirit is friendly to you and your companions and obeys your commands. See this creature’s game statistics in the wildfire spirit stat block. You determine the spirit’s appearance. Some spirits take the form of a humanoid figure made of gnarled branches covered in flame, while others look like beasts wreathed in fire.

In combat, the soulsfire spirit shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. The only action it takes on its turn is the dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take one of the actions in its stat block or to take the dash, disengage, help, or hide action.

The wildfire spirit manifests for 1 hour, or until it is reduced to 0 hit points.

Flame Seed. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 30 ft., one target you can see. Hit: 1d6 + 2 fire damage.

Fiery Teleportation (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). The spirit and each willing creature of your choice within 5 feet of it teleport up to 30 feet to unoccupied spaces you can see. Each creature within 10 feet of the space that the spirit left must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 1d6 + 2 fire damage.

Searing Arc Strike

At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki into searing waves of energy. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 2 ki points to cast the burning hands spell as a bonus action.

You can spend additional ki points to cast burning hands as a higher-level spell. Each additional ki point you spend increases the spell’s level by 1. The maximum number of ki points (2 plus any additional points) that you can spend on the spell equals half your monk level.

Enhanced Bond

The bond with your soulsfire spirit enhances your destructive and restorative spells and ki powers. Whenever you cast a spell or use a ki power that deals fire damage or restores hit points while your wildfire spirit is summoned, roll a d8, and you gain a bonus to one roll of the spell equal to the number rolled.

In addition, when you cast a spell with a range other than self, the spell can originate from you or your soulsfire spirit.

Searing Flameburst

At 11th level, you gain the ability to create an orb of fire that erupts into a devastating explosion. As an action, you magically create an orb and hurl it at a point you choose within 150 feet, where it erupts into a sphere of searing flame for a brief but deadly instant.

Each creature in that 20-foot-radius sphere must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 fire damage or half as much on a successful save. A creature doesn’t need to make the save if the creature is behind total cover.

You can increase the sphere’s damage by spending ki points. Each point you spend, to a maximum of 3, increases the damage by 2d6.

Protection of Ignathrax

Your resistance to fire becomes immunity to fire.

Luminous Fire Shield

At 17th level, you become wreathed in a luminous, flaming, magical aura. You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. You can extinguish or restore the flames as a bonus action.

If a creature hits you with a melee attack while this aura of fire shines, you can use your reaction to deal fire damage to the creature. The fire damage equals 5 + your Wisdom modifier.

Blazing Endurance

The bond with your wildfire spirit is exceptionally strong, even fatal blows only fuel your defiance. If you drop to 0 hit points and don’t die outright, you drop to 1 hit point instead and gain temporary hit points equal to five times your monk level, and each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you that you can see takes fire damage equal to 2d10 + your monk level.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short rest.
