Base Class: Barbarian
The Prey Runner, a fast, brutal Plains or Tundra Barbarian, has honed their reflexes and speed to chase hunt alert, swift prey in unforgiving, open terrain, running down even the fastest beasts in short bursts for sudden, swift strikes with thrown weapons.
Thin The Herd
Starting at 3rd level, all Barbarian Class features that grant bonuses specifically to strength-based melee weapons grant the same bonus to strength-based thrown ranged weapons. This feature only works while wearing no armor.
- Rage Damage
- Reckless Attack
- Brutal Critical
Ranged attacks with Thrown weapons do +1d4 damage when using your Strength Modifier.
You may also draw weapons with the Thrown property as a free action.
You gain proficiency in Survival.
You no longer suffer Disadvantage for making Ranged attacks with a Thrown weapon while within 5 feet of an enemy.
You no longer suffer Disadvantage on attack rolls against prone targets.
Once per long rest, you may automatically critically hit against a prone target.
For purposes of weapons with the Thrown property, you may make an attack of opportunity on any target moving out of a space within 15 feet of you.
Evade the Horns
Starting at 6th level, the Barbarian has grown so accustomed to goring tusks and antlers whirling upon them that they have learned to strike while avoiding the attack. May take an Attack Action as a Bonus action while taking the Dodge action, but may only use this attack action for Thrown weapon ranged attacks. This ability only works when the Barbarian is wearing no armor.
Face the Stampede
Starting at 10th level, the Barbarian is so proficient at moving through a stampeding herd of prey, they may make a ranged attack with a Strength-based thrown weapon while leaving an adjacent square when taking a disengage action, but may only move 5 feet when doing so. This can be done a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, minimum of 1. All uses are replenished at the end of a Long Rest. This may only be used when wearing no armor.
Mobile Fury
Starting at 14th level, the barbarian may move up to 15 feet while taking an attack action while raging without provoking attacks of opportunity. This feature may only be used while unarmored.
