Way of Ever-Flowing Ki

A monk poses, taking meditative stances. They bring their hands together, center their Ki, and release a burst of force splitting the landscape. Monks of Way of Ever-flowing Ki are, by their own accord, the most powerful and most reliable monks around. With their abilities to change the front line of a battle or consistently defend with ranged Ki attacks, it is difficult to dispute their claims.

Across the Militant lands of Reyikufu, high above the warring feudal lords, atop the Ryusine Mountains lies scattered temples of monks who fanatically study the channeling of Ki and mastering of the martial arts. Uninterested in the petty problems of politics, these monks live for combat. Monks of this discipline find that life without combat is to be shunned as the only way to gain enlightenment was through a life of endless battles. The majority of these monks don’t shun their neighbors, often making frequent visits to nearby towns or villages looking for worthy opponents and new friendly rivals. As versatile and destructive warriors, Monks of the Way of Ever-flowing Ki often end up seeking out their neighbors enemies, including monsters or tyrants. Monks of the Way of Ever-flowing Ki often do this to test their training, aid allies, or simply as a means of entertainment

3rd-level Way of Ever-Flowing Ki feature

Your time spent training has honed your ability to sense the ill intent of other creatures, you gain proficiency in the Insight and Animal Handling skills. You also gain a special cosmetic aura, that surrounds you when you choose. You determine its appearance, or generate it randomly by rolling on the Image Resonance table.

Ki Shell

3rd-level Way of Ever-Flowing Ki feature

Ki Shell. You gain a new attack option that you can use when you take the Attack action, you can replace the attacks with this special attack, this special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 60 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity or Wisdom modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is force, and its damage die is equal to your Martial Arts die. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can make the Ki Shell attack as a bonus action. If you spend 1 Ki point or more as part of your action on your turn, you can make the Ki Shell attack as a bonus action. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 Ki point to make the Ki Shell attack twice as a bonus action. 

At 6th level, When you hit another creature with a Ki Shell attack, you can spend 1 Ki point to attempt to Blind the creature. The creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw equal to your Ki save DC or be Blinded until the end of your next turn. 

Ki Flare

6th-level Way of Ever-Flowing Ki feature

Ki Flare. As an action, you can charge and release one of the following effects:

• A beam of energy in a 60-foot line that is 5 feet wide originating from your body.
• A 10-foot radius sphere in a space you can see within 90 feet.

Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw equal to your Ki save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 5d6 force damage and is pushed away from you 10ft and knocked prone. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and isn't knocked prone.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. While you have no uses available, you can spend 2 Ki points to use this feature again.

At 11th level, the damage of this feature increases to 5d8

Ki Conversion

11th-level Way of Ever-Flowing Ki feature

You gain the ability to channel your Ki to strengthen yourself with a transformation. You determine its appearance, or generate it randomly by rolling on the Ki Conversion table.

Ki Conversion

Ki Conversion. Using your action, you channel your Ki to undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

• You gain 25 temporary hit points
• You gain a +2 to your armor class
• Whenever you deal damage with an unarmed strike, Ki Shell, or Ki Flare, add 2D6 force damage.

Once you Transform in this way, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend 3 Ki points to Transform again.

Amplified Ki Flare

17th-level Way of Ever-Flowing Ki feature

You can empower your Ki Flare to its limits. When you use your Ki Flare, you can spend 2 Ki points to release one of the following effects:

• A beam of energy in a 90-foot line that is 5 feet wide originating from your body.
• A 15-foot radius sphere in a space you can see within 120 feet.

Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw equal to your Ki save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 10d8 force damage, is pushed away from you 20ft and knocked prone. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and isn't knocked prone.

Amplified Ki Conversion

17th-level Way of Ever-Flowing Ki feature

You can empower your Ki conversion beyond its previous limits.

Using your action, you channel your Ki to undergo a more powerful transformation.  For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

• You gain 50 temporary hit points
• You gain a +4 to your armor class
• Whenever you deal damage with an unarmed strike, Ki Shell, or Ki Flare, add 2D12 force damage.

Once you Transform in this way, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend 5 Ki points to Transform again. You may only have one Ki conversion feature active at a time.
