Base Class: Ranger
The Yoru-no-Shinobi are a secret society of rangers whom practice survival and espionage techniques to become master spies and scouts for whomever needs their service. With the aid of illusion magic and intense study, they are expert mercenaries for those they serve.
Yoru-no-Shinobi Magic
Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Yoru-no-Shinobi Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Seasoned Training
When selecting this archetype at 3rd level, you have undergone the nessicary trial or training to begin your journey as a Shinobi, and gain the following benefits:
- Yo-Jutsu: You learn one skill or tool, and one language of your choice.
- Uzura-Gakura: You can take the Hide action as a bonus action.
- Nanba-Hashiri: Your walking speed increases by 10 feet. Furthermore, taking the dash action allows you to ignore the effects of difficult terrain.
Skilled Espionage
At 3rd level, you’ve honed your skill in obvservation to a degree where you are incredibly efficient at gathering and retaining information. You gain a +5 bonus to your passive Perception and Investigation scores, and you always know what time of day or night it is as well as which direction is north.
Additionally, you can perfectly recall any experiences or information you personally attained within the last month.
Mushin
At 7th level, your ability to act when the time is right is impeccable, allowing you to fully function where others would be impaired. You cannot be surprised. Additionally, attack rolls made against you can’t benefit from advantage simply because they are an unseen attacker to you.
Sudden Ambush
At 11th level, you have mastered the art of the ambush, preying on the vulnerability of the enemy to take them out as swiftly as possible. Once on your turn, when you attack a creature as an unseen attacker, you can make one additional attack targeting that creature. Whether you hit or miss, you additionally gain advantage on stealth checks to hide from said creature until the end of your current turn.
Genjutsu Defense
At 15th level, you have mastered the tradition of illusory magic through Shinobi practice, Genjutsu, and can use it to veil your movements in a shroud of illusion. Attack rolls made against you have disadvantage. You cannot benefit from this feature if the attacker is immune to illusions, or if an attack roll against you succeeds until the start of your next turn.
