Base Class: Barbarian
A Willful goliath barbarian is a devastating force to behold in battle. Furious, the weapons of their assailants glance off of their hard skin, those who choose to stand and fight such a towering and livid creature soon find their bodies torn asunder by the unnaturally devastating blows dealt by the mighty goliath.
In their mountainous homelands, the way of life for the goliath race is laden with harsh, unforgiving conditions. After millennia of existing in this state of hardship they have been imbued with an innate and primal Will that permeates their metaphysical being. This Will has come about through the drive for greatness and survival that goliaths need to endure their punishing environment. Oftentimes a goliath will go their whole life unaware of the intrinsic force of Will that they harbor within themselves, and even less often do they understand the scope of what they can do with it. An unlearned goliath knows nothing of the Will they possess, though, when tapped into, this power can focus and enhance their minds and bodies to great heights. This Will, like any other skill, can be honed and improved. Physical undertakings, spiritual focus, and all endeavors towards which a goliath directs their Will may be strengthened, given their ability to concentrate their Will. A particularly Willful goliath is capable of accomplishing great feats through tempering this natural power.
Unknown whispers in the mountains tell of goliath kinsmen who wield power, unseen, through their body, their projections, and even the very stone from which they hail....
Natural Survivor
Starting at 3rd level, your goliath Will grants you natural expertise in 2 skills:
- You gain expertise in a barbarian class proficiency skill of your choice, in which you must already be proficient.
- You gain expertise in Survival.
Since their beginnings, it has always been required of the goliath to be natural-born survivors. Rugged physique and resourcefulness in the wilderness have always been needed for both the clan and the individual to make any way in the lands they roam. This demand and the prowess that sprung to meet it drove the manifestation of Will early on in the history of the goliath race. The more Willful the goliath, the greater the ease of survival.
Animal Handling
You gain expertise in the Animal Handling skill. You must already have proficiency in this skill in order to select it for elevation to expertise.
Athletics

Intimidation

Perception

Robust Will
Starting at 3rd level, you may apply your fighting methods to larger weapons as a result of your greater Will and martial athleticism:
- You may use two-weapon fighting even when the melee weapons you are wielding aren't light, or have the one handed property.
- You may wield oversized weapons, such as weapons that a giant would wield with one hand. Talk to your DM about which weapons this feature allows you to wield and what their rules and statistics are.
With Will, a goliath barbarian may apply dual wielding methods to weapons that require the use of two hands for other warriors, and usual two-handed weapon fighting to weapons which other warriors have not the ability to wield.
Stone's Concentration
Beginning at 6th level, you may quicken your Will while raging to concentrate your stone's endurance even more deeply than ever before, turning your whole body rock hard as a reaction. Additionally, during your rage, this effect can be achieved on a smaller scale in a limb or other appendage making any unarmed strike.
Stone's Concentration. Your body becomes as hard as stone and your physical features take on a sturdier and more rigid appearance. You may use your reaction to glance off damage by 3d6 upon being granted this feature at 6th level, by 4d6 at 10th level, and by 5d6 at 14th level. Your Constitution modifier is added to all of the above damage reduction rolls.
Stone's Strike. Whatever extremity with which you choose to strike becomes as hard as stone. This modified unarmed strike deals 1d6 damage plus your Strength modifier.
Goliaths have always had bodies as sturdy as mountains, and an inborn ability to focus themselves to rock hardness. Churning with rage, a goliath's Will can elevate this aspect of their body to new heights. Will surges outward from the core of both their spiritual and corporeal being, burgeoning forth from their dense center to the outermost reaches of their self. This wave of Will rushes from the head and ribcage into the bones and very musculature of the barbarian, the skin and all parts of the anatomy ripple with stone and harden to their fullest. While in a barbarian rage, goliaths may tap into this defensive ability to a lesser, offensive degree to strengthen blows that they make with parts of their body.
Become One
Once you reach 10th level, your will allows you to rejoin the stone from which you came, and reemerge. You gain a burrowing speed of 30ft.
The Will of the Stone allows ya goliath physical form to reenter and rebecome the material from which their very kind was wrought upon the material world. They may move through it flawlessly and as they are the stone itself.
Mail of the Mountain
Upon reaching 14th level, on one rage of your choice per long rest, you gain the ability to Will woven stone to yourself as armor, if there is a suitable amount of mineral within 5ft of you.
Mail of the Mountain. Acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, necrotic, poison, and radiant damage lose their potency against this stone, granting you resistance to them. Raging, you already resist bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage; therefore damage of those types must be above a threshold, determined at the beginning of your rage, of 1d8 plus your Constitution modifier, to damage you at all.
Metamail Sunder. Will burns inside of you like a furnace, its heat lashing out with your strikes. Attacks made with a melee weapon during a Mail of the Mountain rage deal an additional d4 of force damage to the target.
Creatures made out of stone, if used as fuel for this ability, take must succeed on a Constitution saving throw of a DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier or take 4d8 force damage, on a successful save, the creature takes 2d8 force damage.
If you are wearing armor, you must doff it before using this feature or take 1d8 plus your Constitution modifier bludgeoning damage, and have it doffed automatically.
Few goliaths ever grasp hold of their Will during their lifetime, fewer strengthen it, and even fewer master it. Mail of the Mountain is a feature beyond mastery. Only one whose Will is of legend, of peak performance has the power to hold dominion over the stone the goliath race echoes. Upon contact with a boulder, gravel, cobblestone, a cave wall, or any other collection of stone fuel, Will jets from their body into the mineral they touch and digs deep into it as though it were the roots of a great oak digging into the earth. From these roots of their being, fastens the stone onto their body, slithering its way to cover most. Thick strands of rock interweave themselves against the markings of the goliath, the layers melding to and building upon the many designs adorning their body. Will trusses and braces cracks in the stone to make it abnormally resilient to physical damage, flowing inside of as well as between the woven stone like rushing rivers through the gaps. Abundance of Will outside of the material body allows for outbursts of external Will, such as Metastone Sunder, to be exerted to even further destructive ends.
