Base Class: Bard
Even if not all of them are evil, most members of the College of Dread have a deep fascination with the dark and deprived.
They believe that fear is the rawest emotion someone can feel and they channel this fear into horrific tales that will warp the mind of the listener.
All of them can use the power of fear to cause physical harm to anyone who listens to them and some of them can even frighten the dead back onto they're feet.
Fear into they're dreaded hearts!
When you join the College of Dread at 3rd level, you learn how to create fear with just your words and how to deal with it yourself.
You gain advantage on all intimidation checks and you become immune to the frightened condition.
A Dread-Tale
Also at 3rd level, your learn how to cause harm inside the minds of everyone that can hear you.
As an action you can start a horrific tale that is infused with your magic.
On subsequent turns you can use a bonus action or your bardic inspiration feature to continue the tale.
Every creature of your choice within 30ft that can hear you is plagued by a deep, unnatural fear and takes psychic damage equal to your proficiency bonus at the start of each of they're turns.
A creature that is affected by the frightened condition takes double damage from the dread tale.
A Dread-Tale ends if you are incapacitated or if your are unable to speak for any reason.
It also ends if you end your turn and haven't continued the tale since the start of your last turn.
A Dreadful Puppet
At 6th level, you gain the Animate Dead spell and it counts as a Bard spell for you.
Whenever you summon an undead with a spell, it gains the following benefits:
• The creature's hit point maximum is increased by an amount equal to your Bard Level.
• The creature adds half your Proficiency Bonus (Rounded up) to its attack and damage rolls.
Master of Dread
Starting at 14th level, the range of your Dread-Tale feature increases to 60 feet. A creature that takes damage from your Dread-Tale must make a Wisdom Save against your spell save DC or be Frightened of you until the end of their next turn.
Additionally, any creature you summon or that is affected by your Bardic Inspiration has advantage on attack rolls against creatures that are Frightened.
