Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

You have become an especially deadly huntsman while on the saddle. Swift as the wind and with imposing stature, you let no prey escape. Though you are a powerful fighter while on your own, while on your steed your skills are pure devastation. Your partnership with a mount is not an exclusive one, as you are able to quickly and easily befriend a new steed whenever needed. Your amazing skills are not completely to your own credit however. As with your close connection to nature, it's compassion and understanding that your mount has for you that allows you to reach your fullest potential.

You have advantage on saving throws made to avoid falling off your mount. If you fall off your mount and descend no more than 10 feet, you can land on your feet if you aren’t incapacitated. Mounting or dismounting a creature costs you only 5 feet of movement, rather than half your speed. You also have advantage on any dice rolls made to heal your mount.

Finally,  if your mount is brought to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to make a medicine check to cause it to instead remain at 1 hit point. The DC is equal to the damage taken, and increases by 5 every subsequent check made until you fail.
