Monk
Base Class: Monk

An individual who adheres to this Way has dedicated their life's attention to a specific goal. This goal may not be righteous or just, but its sincerity and the single-minded pursuit are cause for concern from any who stand in the practitioners Way.

Analysis

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your martial arts training has led you to unravel the patterns of your rivals. Once per turn, you can spend 1 ki to choose one creature you can see within 30 feet of you, that creature is marked for 1 minute by your Analysis. When a creature marked with your Analysis hits you with an attack, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by your Martial Arts dice.

You may have a number of simultaneous Analysis marks equal to your proficiency bonus.

Once per turn when you score a critical hit against a creature marked by your Analysis, you regain 1 ki point.

Rhythm of Combat

Your dedication has taught you many combat maneuvers. Starting at 6th level, when engaged with a enemy creature you have marked with your Analysis, you can perform a series of different unique combos.

Counter. When you are attacked by a marked creature, you may immediately make an Unarmed Strike against them as a reaction.

Cross-strike. As a bonus action, perform an Unarmed Strike against a marked creature. This attack is a critical hit on a roll of 18-20.

Clinch. As a bonus action, you can attempt to grapple a marked creature. While you have a creature grappled, you may roll two dice, instead of one when reducing the damage with your Analysis feature

Weave. When you hit 2 times during the attack action with Unarmed Strikes against a marked creature you can begin Weaving as a bonus action. Until the start of your next turn, you have additonal AC equal to your Proficiency bonus against attacks from a marked creature.
