Monk
Base Class: Monk

You follow a monastic tradtion that teaches you to harness the power of the storm. When you focus your ki, you can align yourself with the forces of nature and bend the elements of the weather to your will, using them as an extension of your body. Many monks of this tradition tattoo their bodies with representations of their ki powers.

Electric Speed

At 3rd level, your mastery of your ki manifests in a powerful lightning that courses through your body, enhancing it. You gain resistance to lightning damage and your movement speed increases by 10 feet.

Shocking Hand

Also at 3rd level, once per turn, you may spend 1 ki point to infuse your fists with electric power (no action required). For the rest of the turn, when you hit a creature with your unarmed strike, you deal additional lightning damage equal to your wisdom modifier. This extra damage cannot be added to hits from Fury of the Blows

Lightning Fast Onslaught

At level 6, you have the speed and ferocity of a lightning bolt, allowing you to strike your enemies in a rapid onslaught, before they even have the chance to act. You get a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Wisdom modifier. In addition, on your first turn in combat, your movement speed is doubled and you have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken a turn in the combat yet.

Powerful Fundamentals

At 11th level, your inner lightning has enhanced your entire body, you are deadly. Your fundamentals are far more lethal than most. You gain the following benefits:

  • Flurry of Blows allows you to take a third unarmed stike parts of it, the damage of this attack is lightning damage instead of its regular damage.
  • When you use Patient Defense and successfully dodge a melee attack, you can use your reaction to make a single unarmed strike against the attacker. That attack deals additional lightning damage equal to your Wisdom modifier.
  • When you use Step of the Wind, your body partially turns into lightning, allowing you to move through other creatures and move through spaces as narrow as 3 inches wide without squeezing. You take 1d10 force damage if you end your turn inside an object or creature, and are pushed to the nearest empty space.

Unleashed Tempest

At 17th level, when you use Flurry of Blows, you turn it into a lightning fast combo. Once you've performed the three attacks from your Flurry of Blows, you can spend 1 additional ki point to keep attacking the same target with another unarmed strike, which deals additional lightning damage equal to your Wisdom modifier plus your proficiency bonus. You can keep spending ki points in this way to keep pummeling your enemy into dust, until you miss an attack, change target, or the target dies, at which point the combo stops. In addition if you move more than 30 feet in a turn, you gain a flying speed equal to your waling speed until the start of your next turn. You can maintain this flying speed if you move more than 30 feet on subsequent turns. If you don't, you fall at the end of your turn.
