Monk
Base Class: Monk

Some Catfolk monks dedicate their graceful prowess to the defense of others, especially those dedicated to a similar ethos or who prove themselves as stalwart allies of the monk’s cause.

Defensive Aid Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3 level you can use your feline reaction and grace to aid your allies in combat. If you are within 5ft. of an ally and they are the target of an attack or the target of an ability that requires them to make a Dexterity saving throw you can spend a ki point to aid them in their defense. If they are the target of a melee or ranged attack, this causes the attacker to gain disadvantage on the attack roll. If the ally is the target of an ability requiring a dexterity saving throw, they gain advantage on that saving throw. You must use this ability before the roll is made as a reaction.

Feline Reflexes

At 6 level, you have begun to master your feline nature as you fight and move in the world around you. As a bonus action, you can spend 1 ki points to gain advantage on all Dexterity based checks or saving throws for 10 minutes.

Additionally, you gain advantage on Initiative rolls.

Cat Nap

At 11 level you can spend 10 minutes of meditation focusing on your ki, allowing your cat-like recovery to take over. Doing so allows you to regain half of your total ki points (rounded up). Once this ability is used it cannot be used again until you have finished a short or long rest.

Feline Strikes

At 17 level you have mastered your feline grace and speed, allowing you to throw your opponent off guard. If you successfully hit with the first strike of your turn, all attacks on your turn have advantage against the creature you hit with your first strike. Additionally, you can spend 2 ki points and can treat any successful melee attack as if it were a critical hit.
