Base Class: Artificer

Fascinated by dragons, sorcerers, or the elements themselves, an Elemancer seeks to recreate the elemental forces he sees through machines. Adding apparatuses onto his pack, he can manipulate these elements more easily.

 
 

Elemancer Spells

You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Elemancer Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Upgraded Pack

Your mechanical prowess has provided a way for you to have better control of the elements. You have worked at creating a better backpack for your use, made of wire, metal, and canvas. At the end of a long rest, provided you have tinker's tools, you can spend an infusion to add one of the following apparatus options onto your backpack.

While one of the options is installed, when you are attacked there is a 5% chance the enemy will damage your apparatus. When this happens you take 1d4 damage. The damage type depends on your apparatus.

Fuel Tubes
While you have fuel tubes on your pack you gain a bonus to any fire damage you deal. The bonus equals your proficiency bonus.

Tesla Coils
While you have tesla coils on your pack, whenever you would deal lightning damage, choose a number of creature within 5 ft of the target to take 1d6 lightning damage as well. The number of targets chosen this way is up to half your Artificer level rounded up.

Freezing Tanks
While you have freezing tanks on your pack, any creature you deal cold damage to loses a number of feet of movement equal to twice your artificer level.

 

Arcane Pack

You have learned how to work your magics into your pack to make it stronger. While wearing the pack you can use it as a spellcasting focus. In addition the inside of the pack behaves like a bag of holding, with the exception that your steel reinforced bag cannot rip.

 
 

Improved Upgraded Pack

You gain an additional feature depending on which apparatus you have equipped.

Fuel Tubes
You have worked into your pack a flame propellant. You gain a flying speed of 20 ft. but must end your turn on the ground.

Tesla Coils
Working more coils you can manipulate creatures positions. As an action you can either pull all creatures within 30ft wearing metal or studded leather armor 5 ft. towards you or push them 5 ft. away from you, your choice.

Freezing Tanks
Attaching more nozzles to your tanks you can release the freezing agent more effectively. When you would perform an opportunity attack, you may instead force the target to make a dexterity saving throw vs your spell save DC or take 2d4 cold damage.

 

Wielder of Elements

You no longer have to choose only one option for your upgraded pack feature, you may have as many as you want, provided you spend an infusion for them. The pack becomes heavy however, and for each additional feature you add beyond the first you lose 5ft of movement.

 

Enhanced Tools

You gain proficiency with an Artisan's tool of your choice. When you use a tool that utilizes your intelligence modifier, you gain advantage on that check.
