Base Class: Paladin
As the Aspect of Protection, your priority is mainly about protecting those in your party.
You gain access to Aegis at level 3, an action that shields an ally from the next form of damage they take.
At level 5, you gain Enhanced Aegis, an improved form of Aegis, but it more limited.
Both Aegis and Enhanced Aegis grow stronger as you level up, gaining uses and / or other benefits.
At level 7, you can use Provocation, an attack that forces an enemy to focus on you.
Once you reach level 15, you grant powerful defensive bonuses to your allies with Aegis over them with Benevolence.
At the 20th level, your Aegis and Enhanced Aegis gets to their apex. Any enemy that breaks Aegis and Enhanced Aegis with an attack within 10 feet is knocked down and their turn is ended.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
You cannot use these on yourself.
You may react during any action done by any entity that you can see, once per turn.
Safeguard:
As a reaction, you can make the next attack against an ally have disadvantage.
Valor:
As a reaction, you can make the next attack an ally lands on an enemy, add your (CHA + Proficiency Bonus) as damage.
Aegis
Starting at the 3rd level, you can use your action to use Aegis, placing a protective barrier over yourself, or an ally. This shield blocks the next form of damage they take, no matter what it is or where it came from.
Aegis glows a dim gold on an ally and shines a light up to 5 feet around a wearer.
You have 3 uses at level 3, increasing to 4/5/6 at levels 7/12/17
At level 7, it becomes a Bonus action.
At level 5 you gain Enhanced Aegis as a separate action.
Enhanced Aegis works similarly to Aegis, but it has an HP amount equal to your Max HP. This Aegis only breaks after the it is depleted, and excess damage does not apply to the bearer.
You only have 1 use of Enhanced Aegis at level 5, increasing to 2/3 at levels 10/15
Provocation
You attack an enemy, and on a successful hit, it becomes Taunted.
Taunted creatures have Advantage on attacks against you.
Taunted creatures must attack you, and they narrow their focus to you.
The Taunt ends after they land a successful attack on you.
Allies have Advantage + 4 on attack rolls against Taunted creatures.
Benevolence
While an ally has Aegis, (including you), any enemy's attack against them has disadvantage.
While an ally has Aegis, they gain 4 AC.
While an ally has Aegis, you gain 2 AC.
Charged Bulwark
When Aegis / Enhanced Aegis breaks, the attacker that broke it is knocked down from the force of the shield exploding, and takes 1d10 + CHA Modifier damage.
This has a max range of 10 ft, and ends the attacker's turn.
