Base Class: Barbarian
While some barbarians rage in bloodlust or frenzy, a Path of the Prisoner barbarian has one motivation: survive. Years of hard labor under the lash have transformed a once-promising life into a tireless machine whose focus is on getting the job done. A Path of the Prisoner barbarian draws their strength from within, reaching deep to unfathomable depths in search of the determination needed to live to see another day.
A Path of the Prisoner barbarian has features that allows them to channel their natural strength effectively and efficiently, without having to resort to rage in non-combat scenarios. Their features are informed by a life of repetition, harsh conditions, and the belief that everyone must pull together for the good of the group- while knowing that some in the group might have to pull harder than others. A Path of the Prisoner values their hard-won freedom, and will go to any lengths to preserve it. Finally, there is a sense of brotherhood (or sisterhood) that comes from enduring difficult conditions together, so a Path of the Prisoner barbarian is willing to share in the suffering of their comrades.
