Garian

Originally created by the warriors known as garians, a squadron of heavily armored triton folk, the garian fighting style focuses on superior technique while swimming or underwater. Though mostly used by the races that live underwater, many other people have been known to learn and master this technique. Because of the heavy fighting style and armor choice, paired with the usage underwater, garians become strong and fast, both underwater, and on land.

Aquatic Prowess

Because of your experience and training while underwater, you become a faster swimmer, and gain the ability to hold your breath longer.

While underwater your swim speed is equal to your walking speed +5. You gain the ability to hold your breath for 10 minutes + your constitution modifier.

Underwater experience

Because of your training and experience fighting underwater, you are unhindered by the extra force of the sea. 

While underwater you gain advantage on any strength or dexterity checks. You are not affected by difficult terrain related to water.

Anchorman's Fighting Style

You adopt the heavy armored, heavy hitting style of the anchorman, the primary warrior of the garians.

You become proficient with great weapons and heavy armor. When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2. The weapon must have the two-handed or versatile property for you to gain this benefit.

Barnacle Resilience

Because of your experience with fighting against water, you become stronger, and more resilient even out of the sea. You gain advantage on strength checks and wisdom saving throws against being frightened. You gain a +1 to ac.

Champion of the Sea

After all of your training and improving underwater, you learn the true ways of the garian, connecting with its ecosystem while improving as a warrior. 

You become able to summon a giant seahorse steed while underwater. You learn aquan, and become able to communicate with underwater creatures. Your swim speed becomes double your walking speed
