Your people are hopeless plagiarists, copying others without any change. Conforming to life's drab way of bringing down the Kenku people. You are different, you have a gift that not many of your kind possess: Creativity. You stitch sounds together, creating sounds you haven't heard before. By extensively practicing this you've even been able to speak in a voice of your own. Your mind flows with ideas and an appreciation for your vocal talents. You use this talent to sunder your enemies ears with piercing insults or by mimicking others to a degree your kin can't imagine.

Innovative Mimicry

At the 3rd level you no longer mindlessly mimic the sounds of your surroundings. You are able to make new sounds using your Mimicry feature allowing you to speak, throw your voice, and imitate others to a frightening degree. You have advantage on deception checks to imitate another creature's voice. Additionally, speaking does not reveal your position or break your stealth.

Mockery

Starting at the 3rd level when you choose this archetype you gain the ability to goad and insult your foes. As an action, you unleash a string of insults laced with subtle enchantments at a creature that can hear you (though it need not understand you) within 60ft. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or take psychic damage equal to your Sneak Attack feature and have disadvantage on all attacks that aren't against you until the end of its next turn.

Insult to Injury

Starting at the 9th level, whenever you use your action to Mock a creature, you may use your bonus action to make an attack against the same creature. If they failed their save against Mockery you have advantage on this attack.

Nevermore

At 13 level, your Mockery becomes even more powerful, striking into the insecurities of the creatures it affects. Whenever a creature fails the Wisdom Save against your Mockery you may replace the effect with one of the effects listed below, it still takes the damage. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma Modifier. You regain all uses of this ability after taking a long rest.

• It must immediately use its reaction , if available, to move as far as its speed allows away from you.

• It becomes Stunned until the beginning of its next turn.

• You may issue a one-word command to the creature, which it follows on its following turn.

Stolen Words

At 17 level, you gain the ability to steal another creature's voice. You can use your action to touch a humanoid forcing it to make a Charisma saving throw or become mute until a remove curse spell is cast on it, or you use this feature again. Incapacitated creatures automatically fail this save. You may then speak in that creature's voice, perfectly mimicking them. If you Mock a creature with the voice of someone they know and respect, such as their parents, siblings, boss, or lover they have disadvantage on their Wisdom Saving throw.
