Monk
Base Class: Monk

Far less mystical than most monks. Brawlers are brutal fist-fighters who honed their abilities in street-fights and bar-brawls. Brawlers focus more on physical perfection than spiritual perfection. They fight with more desperation and brutality, their techniques focused on violence rather than elegance.

Closed Fist Technique

The brawler monk focuses more on physical fitness and martial arts mastery than mystical energy. Starting at 3rd level whenever you use your Flurry of Blows feature, you may enhance it in one of the following ways:

  • Rapid Flurry -  Make an additional unarmed attack as part of your Flurry of Blows. If all your attacks in this turn have not missed and were targeted at the same enemy, your Stunning Strike feature can be used on your final attack without needing to consume Ki Points
  • Hammer Strikes - Add your proficiency modifier as damage to all strikes that land as part of your Flurry of Blows. You cannot use this feature if your hands are not empty.
  • Discombobulate - Instead of making your Flurry of Blows attacks, you may subject a creature you can see within 5 feet of you to make Strength and Constitution saving throws against your Monk feature DC. For failing the Strength Saving Throw, a creature is knocked prone, and for failing the Constitution Saving throw, a creature is blinded and deafened for 1 turn. Should a creature fail both Saving Throws, it also gains one point of Exhaustion. A creature may not gain more than one point of exhaustion from this feature each 24 hours.

Uncanny Counter

At 6th level you can use your reaction to block a melee attack. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by your Strength or Dexterity modifier (whichever is higher) + Monk Level. If you reduce the damage to 0, you may spend 1 ki point to make a single unarmed strike against that opponent as part of the same reaction, if the target is within your reach.

Scarred Skin

At 11th Level, your skin toughens and scales into a hard protective layer built by layer upon layer of scarred tissue. Your Armor Class permanently increases by 2, and you are immune to being stunned, restrained, and being knocked prone.

Skull Driver

At 17th level, when you hit someone with an unarmed strike you may spend 3 ki points to attempt to immediately knock the opponent out. The target must make a Constitution Saving throw against your Monk Feature DC or fall unconscious. If the target succeeds they instead take 10d10 bludgeoning damage. You may use this feature 3 times, regaining uses on a long rest. If the target is above 70HP, they automatically save against this feature.
