Base Class: Barbarian
The ferocious, terrifying might of a dragon is unrivaled among beasts and forces of nature in this world. Those who live to encounter them are the lucky ones who get to warn others to not tread lightly.
There are, however, those who are uniquely touched by such experiences, or are blessed with Power likened to that of a dragon.
Those, indeed, walk the Path of the Rising Dragon.
- The Guidesman, a vagrant wanderer.
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Rising Dragon are those with a Draconic gift, a true blessing of immense, great power that imitates that of the legendary creatures it is named after. Or alternatively, such beings are permanently branded by a curse of Draconic likeness, forever damned to be one of their creed. Whether blessed by the mighty wisdom or cursed power of such powers that be, all will see them as the mighty, ferocious, Rising Dragon.
Legendary Aspect
When you choose this Path at 3rd Level, you gain a Legendary Aspect of Dragonkind, which likens you to that of a niche of said mythical creatures. Choose one of the following varieties of dragons to take as your Legendary Aspect:
| Dragon | Damage Type |
|---|---|
Black, or Copper |
Acid |
Red, Brass, or Gold |
Fire |
Blue, or Bronze |
Lightning |
White, or Silver |
Cold |
Green |
Poison |
Legends’ Fury
At 3rd Level, your rage is unhinged in its absolute fury. As a bastion of dragon power, your rage makes manifest of your kinship. While raging, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain protruding scales which act protective in the face of danger, granting a +1 to AC. This becomes a +2 to AC at level 14.
- You gain resistance to the damage type associated to your Legendary Aspect feature.
- When you make a melee weapon attack while raging, you can change the damage type to the damage type associated with your Legendary Aspect Feature.
Dragon Claws
At 3rd Level, your Draconic likening begins to possess traits akin to that of dragons themself. Among which, your fingernails or existing claws have begun to transfigure into a kinship with similar Draconic features.
You gain Dragon Claws, which are natural weapons and are considered unarmed melee weapons. They deal 1d8 in slashing damage. The damage increases to 1d10 if you aren’t using a shield or holding any melee weapons in your hand.
Wrathful Breath Weapon
At level 6, you have gained further likeness to dragons as a whole, and have become capable of imitating their iconic breath weapon. As a bonus action while raging you can force all creatures in a 15 foot cone or 5 feet by 30 feet line to make a Dexterity Saving Throw (Against a DC of 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + Your Constitution Modifier). On a failure, the target creature(s), take 2d4 damage of the damage type linked to your Legendary Aspect, or half as much on a success. This damage increases to 4d4 at level 10, and 6d4 at level 14. You can use this feature once per rage.
Assertive Presence
At 10th level, your Draconic essence has not only enhanced your capabilities in combat, but also in dialect. You now gain a bonus to all charisma skill checks equal to your Constitution Modifier.
Dragon Wings
At 14th Level, you have achieved the ultimate acclimation of Draconic power, and now have the boon of flight to aid your conquest. When you start your rage, you sprout your own Draconic Wings from your back that grant you a flying speed of 60 feet for the duration of your rage. You can use this speed if you’re not wearing heavy armor.
