Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Morgenschvert (Swords of the Morning) answer the divine call of the Wolf-God Athair Mac'Tire (Father Wolf), drawing upon the Sacred Energies of Father Sun and Mother Moon, to bring righteous wrath upon enemies and caring protection upon friends and the innocent. Morgenschvert have an iron-clad sense of right and wrong, and will not undertake any action or mission that would besmirch the name of their Order or God. Their dedication to their God is matched only by their fierce determination to rooting out evil and striking it down wherever it is detected. They answer to their own sense of duty, their God, and their King or Queen, as they are ordained as the personal protectors of monarchs. A Morgenschvert also abhors necromancy, and will not tolerate its execution or discussion in his or her presence.

Senses of the Wolf

As you reach 3rd level, you adopt more and more features of your patron God, Athair Mac'Tire (Father Wolf), and can see in the dark as he sees, granting Darkvision up to 60ft. You also gain advantage on Perception Checks involving smell or hearing.

Moon Magic

As you reach 3rd level, your affinity with Mother Moon bestows upon you nature-driven powers in service of Father Wolf.

You gain 2 chosen cantrips or spells at 3rd level, 5th level, 9th level, 13th level, and 17th level.

Aura of the Pack

Starting at 7th Level, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you add the Paladin's Charisma modifier to attacks executed against a single target creature during the same turn. The creature must be visible to two (2) or more party members and within range of attack, and party members cannot be incapacitated for the effect to occur.

At 18th level, the friendly effective range for this Aura is increased to a 30ft Radius from the Paladin, and double the Charisma modifier addition

Fury of Sun and Moon

At 15th level, as an action, you may expend a spell slot to imbue your melee attacks with the Fury of Father Sun and Mother Moon for ten minutes, dealing an additional 1d8 radiant damage on successful hit.

This effect adds 1d8 damage per spell slot level used, up to 5th level (i.e. 1st lvl=1d8, 2nd=2d8, etc)

Spell slots are recovered with a long rest, or other ability that restores spell slots.

Visage of the Wolf

At 20th level, you can take on physical attributes of Father Wolf of your choosing.

Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

  • At the start of each of your turns, you regain 10 hit points OR cure one (1) negative effect from you or a party member within 10ft
  • Your movement speed is increased by 10
  • Casting Druid or Paladin spells that take one (1) action can be cast as a bonus action
  • You gain resistance to piercing, slashing, bludgeoning, and cold damage

This ability can only be activated once per long rest
