Monk
Base Class: Monk

You learn to use your environment to your advantage, offensively and defensively.

Found a Weapon

You gain proficiency in improvised weapons, they are martial arts weapons for you.

You learn to cause chaos around you. As a reaction you can create difficult terrain between you and an approaching enemy.

Defy Logic

Quick thinking and ingenuity open up options for you when you attack with improvised weapons.

  • When you attack with an improvised weapon at range, as a bonus action you may ride that weapon to it's destination as long as it weighs 5lbs or more. If the attack misses you may ride it to it's maximum distance without provoking.
  • When you attack a creature within 5ft with an improvised weapon you can confuse them with a bonus action. The creature must make a wisdom saving throw against your Monk save DC or become confused until the beginning of your next turn. If they fail they must roll a d8 to determine their reaction. If the improvised weapon is something important to the target they make the save at disadvantage. You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your wisdom modifier.

 d8 Behavior

  • 1 The creature uses all its movement to move in a random direction. To determine the direction, roll a d8 and assign a direction to each die face. The creature doesn't take an action this turn.
  • 2-6 The creature doesn't move or take actions this turn.
  • 7-8 The creature uses its action to make a melee attack against a randomly determined creature within its reach. If there is no creature within its reach, the creature does nothing this turn.

Read the Room

You gain proficiency in perception and insight. If you already have proficiency you gain expertise.

As a reaction you may use a non-magical item to gain +5 to your AC to block an incoming attack or to gain advantage on a saving throw, the item is destroyed after using it in this way.

Quick and the Dead

You gain an additional reaction.

You no longer need to expend a ki point to throw a missle caught by your deflect missles ability.

Every miss is an opportunity. Whenever a creature misses with an attack you may use your reaction to spend 2 ki points to redirect the attack to another creature within range of the original attack. You must make a new attack roll.
