Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Silent Fall learn to manipulate Ki in other peoples' bodies. They use the fact that the flow of Ki allows and enhances movement to their advantage to increase the range of their own movement and decrease that of their opponents.
Those who follow the Way of the Silent Fall are quiet pursuers of knowledge of the martial arts. They seek to train their bodies to allow martial arts to flow with heightened agility, strength and effectiveness. There are only a few dojos of the Way of the Silent Fall and they are located on high mountain tops so that students may develop limberness in their bodies despite the cold.
Students of this form don light robes and bandage their limbs to protect from the physical strain of the style.
Ki Block
Starting at 3rd level, if you successfully make three unarmed strikes against the same target in one turn, that target is immediately incapacitated. Furthermore, a target is immediately incapacitated on a critical hit.
Breath of Agility
As part of your training you practice agility with weights strapped onto you. Starting at 6th level you are able to employ a sudden burst of speed akin to moving freely as soon as you unstrap your weights. You may double your movement speed for one turn. This ability can be used as many times as your Dexterity Modifier before needing a long rest to use the ability again.
Render Immobile
Starting at 11th level, you may empower your unarmed strikes with the power to render the limbs of an individual immobile. You may spend 1 Ki point per strike to attempt to do this. You can choose to attack your target's arms or legs. On a hit, they must make a Constitution saving throw to resist the effects of this action.
Arms. On a failed saving throw, the target is unable to move their arms. They drop anything they are holding and must spend 15ft of movement to pick up their weapons once they regain control. During this period they are also unable to cast spells requiring a somatic component. These effects last for 1 minute or until the target succeeds on a Constitution saving throw. The target may repeat the saving throw at the end of its turns.
Legs. On a failed saving throw, the target is unable to move their legs and immediately falls prone. This effect lasts for 1 minute or until the target succeeds on a Constitution saving throw. The target may repeat the saving throw at the end of its turns.
Should a target's arms and legs both be rendered immobile, the target must make separate saving throws to regain control of their arms and legs. If a target has multiple sets of arms or legs, they may as many d4s to their saving throws as they have additional pairs of arms or legs.
The Silent Fall
Your understanding of the way Ki flows in the body nears its completion, and so you master the Silent Fall, a combination of two deadly techniques.
The Fall. You may spend 7 Ki points to attempt to fully disengage a target's Ki network. As an action, make an unarmed strike against the target. On a hit, they must make a Constitution saving throw. An additional 2 Ki points can be spent to increase your Ki Save DC by a roll of your Martial Arts Die for all saving throws by your target against this ability. On a successful save, you only manage to disrupt the Ki connections throughout the target's body and the target is paralysed. A paralysed creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of their turns to end the condition. On a failed save, you manage to disrupt the Ki connections within the target's brain and they fall unconscious. An unconscious creature remains unconscious unless another creature uses their action to shake them awake. Once awake, a creature is paralysed and can repeat the initial saving throw at the end of their turns to end the paralysed condition.
Supreme Silence. You may spend 7 Ki points to enter a state of higher awareness of Ki that grants you supreme control of your own body for 30 seconds. You gain the ability to see the Ki networks of creatures. As a result you can quickly determine their critical weaknesses and so natural rolls of 16 and above to hit a target with your unarmed strikes are considered critical hits. Furthermore, your unarmed strikes gain an increase in power as a result of the opening of your Ki channels and so your Martial Arts Die is doubled. Finally, your increased agility allows you to make a third attack every time you take the attack action. If you have no Ki points remaining when this ability ends, you gain 1 point of exhaustion.
