Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of Brawn know how the world truly works. That it eat or be eaten, hunt or be hunted. That only the strong survive. And so, knowledge was gathered. Used to develop superior methods of bodybuilding and physical amplification, so that man could be indomitable in the field of strength.
Athletic Modifiers
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can enhance your athletic prowess with spiritual power. Whenever you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can expend ki to enhance yourself with one of these effects:
- Occult Brawn: ignore damage resistances and immunities for that attack (3 Ki).
- Draining Brawn: heal health points equal to half the damage that attack deals (2 Ki).
- Phantom Brawn: deal force damage equal to your monk die plus Str. Mod to anoter creature within 60 ft (1 Ki).
- Shared Brawn: choose another creature to deal damage for their next unarmed strike to deal damage equal to this attacks damage (2 Ki).
- Versatile Brawn: use Str. Mod. for next Ability Check/Saving throw (3 Ki).
Bulk Up
At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel the flow of Ki to fortify your muscles indefinitely. Your Strength Score Maximum is now 24, and you can use your Str. Modifier in place of your Dex. Modifier for the Unarmored Defense Feat.
Shock/Heat/Cryotherapy
Starting at 11th level, your overworked body welcomes the cold, jumping at the chance to regenerate without fear of overheating. Whenever you would be dealt Cold damage, it is instead negated, healing health points equal to the damage that would have been dealt. This extends to Shock Therapy (Lightning damage) at level 15, and Heat Therapy (Fire damage) at level 20.
Muscle Bloat
At 17th level, you have trained yourself to to flood your body with dangerous levels of Ki, pushing your mortal strength to it's limits. As an action, you can choose to spend 10 Ki to bloat your muscles, gaining the following effects for 1 minute:
- Increase size to large.
- Increase Strength Score Maximum by 4 (up to a maximum of 30).
- Increase Strength by 4.
- Add an extra monk die to attacks.
- Add Strength Modifier to AC.
- Take 10d8 Force damage.
If your are wearing armor that isn't specifically suited to this transformation, it breaks. You can use a bonus action to dismiss this form early along with all of its affects. It also ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if you take damage equal to a number greater than twice your Strength Score.
