Some monks train their entire life in a monastery to master the martial arts. Some monks master martial arts to be able to life their entire life. Raised in the streets to fend for your life or taken in by a retired drunken pugilist, you learned how to fight the hard way. No regimens, no drills, no meditating. Just blood, sweat and tears. Your strength lies in your ability to land devastating Hay-makers and using your you quick wits to exploit every opening your enemy gives you. You live for the heat of battle, the  feeling of blood on your knuckles, the pounding in your head, the ringing in your ears just make you stronger. Cause you know better than anyone that when a fight comes down to the wire, only the people with unflinching tenacity may win.

Street Smarts

Your urban experience has granted you the social tools to easily navigate the streets. You get proficiency in Deception and Insight.

Opportunist

Your quick wit lets you capitalize on the errors of your foes. When an enemy misses you with a melee attack you can spend a reaction take one of three actions.

Counter. You do one unarmed strike. You can spend a Ki-point to do another unarmed strike.

Grapple. You attempt to grapple the enemy, standard grapple rules apply. you can spend a Ki-point to pin the enemy.

Shove. You attempt to shove the enemy out of your attack range, standard shove rules apply. You can spend a Ki-point to shove them an additional 5ft.

Hay-Maker

You gain another use of your Ki feature called, Hay-maker. When you take the attack action you can spend 2 Ki-points to put all your strength into one single punch as a bonus action. If it hits it does max dice damage and knocks an enemy of no more than one size larger than you Prone. If it misses enemies get advantage on attack roles against you until your next turn.

Endure

Through countless battles, your resolve has been strengthened. When a hit would take you out, you can just grit your teeth and keep going. When you hit 0 HP you can spend 3 Ki-points to come back to 1 HP. 

Underdog

When the enemy towers above you and the battle seems lost, you know it's the perfect time for a comeback. Fighting on the brink of death makes you stronger. When you are below one fourth of your current maximum hit points your previous monastic tradition abilities are improved.

Underdog Opportunist. All your opportunist moves are at advantage.

Underdog Hay-maker. All your Hay-makers that hit are instant crits.
