Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

The Arcane Weave calls to you, sorcerer. Unlike most of your spellcasting brothers and sisters, you have an almost spiritual connection with the ley lines coursing through the world. This level of attunement to pure archaic magic grants boons most only dream of attaining. A greater understanding of the Arcane Weave allows you to empower your magic beyond its normal scope.

Arcane Overload

At 1st level, you gain the ability to tap directly into the Leylines to enhance your spells.

A number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long lost, when you cast a spell you can choose to cast the spell as if it were one spell level higher than the spell slot being expended.

Magesight

You immediately know if a spell is affecting a creature or if they have magical abilities. This knowledge presents itself as translucent blue wispy smoke in the form of arcane runes. You can attempt to decipher these runes by making an INT (Arcana) check against the spell save DC of the original caster of a spell. If attempting to discern the magical prowess of a creature, this Arcana check is made against the target's spell save DC.

You also gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you already have proficiency in the Arcana skill, you gain Expertise instead.

Spell Conduit

At 6th level, you and your spell slots become a conduit for the energy of the Ley Lines. You gain the following abilities.

  • Spell Siphon: As a reaction, you can spend 3 sorcery points to cast Counterspell at 3rd level. After you successfully counter a spell using this ability, you regain 1 sorcery point.

  • Gift of the Magus: As a bonus action, you can transfer arcane energy to an ally within 60 feet, replenish one of their missing spell slots. This costs 1+the spells level sorcery points per level of the gifted spell slot. (Maximum 5th level spell slot)

  • Spellplague: As an action, you can spend 3 sorcery points to force a target of your choice within 30 feet to make a CON saving throw against your spell save DC or lose the highest level spell slot available to them.

Wily of the Weave

When you cast a spell of first level or higher, you temporarily become semi-consumed by the Arcane Weave. You begin to glow a light blue color and become slightly translucent. In this form, you can pass through solid objects as long as they're less than 5 inches thick and are not made of lead. You can choose to move before or after you cast the spell and can move through other creatures. if a creature makes an attack of opportunity while you are in this form, they have disadvantage on the attack roll. If you end your turn in a solid object or another creature, you are shunted to the nearest unoccupied space. This effect lasts until you are damaged or until the beginning of your next turn.

Arcanus

At 18th level, you gain the following abilities as you learn to master the abilities you are granted from the Weave.

Spellblock: As an action, you can spend 5 sorcery points, to target a 20-foot cube within 120 feet. All creatures within the cube must make a Constitution saving throw equal to your spell save DC. Upon a failed save,  for the duration these creatures are affected by this ability, otherwise, suffer no effects.

For the next minute, when a creature casts a spell while under the effects of this ability, you regain 1 sorcery point and they take 1d10 force damage for each level of the spell they cast.
