The College of the Tactician is the home of bards who have mastered their craft in the forges of battle. Fighting alongside their comrades, bards of this school become deft warriors in their own right. Quick-witted and strong, these bards are powerful allies as well as commanders.

Many of the greatest armies the world has ever known have been lead by the brilliant bards of this college. Their battle plans are clever and efficient; opposing armies are surprised and quickly routed. Villainous bards of this college may bend entire nations to do their own dastardly bidding, while heroic bards may go on to become great kings.

Tactical Guide

When you join the College of the Tactician at 3rd level, you learn the Commander’s Strike and Maneuvering Attack maneuvers available to the Battle Master archetype in the Fighter class. You can use your Bardic Inspiration dice to fuel the maneuvers, and you learn an additional maneuver of your choice at 6th and 14th levels. If a maneuver you use requires your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver’s effects, the saving throw DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity or Strength modifier (your choice).

Aptitude

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with shields as well as two martial weapons of your choice that lack the two-handed property. Additionally, you learn the Fire Bolt cantrip and either the Booming Blade or Green-Flame Blade cantrip (your choice.)

Dancing Blade / Canto

Beginning at 6th level, you no longer need to forgo an attack when you use your Commander's Strike maneuver. Additionally, you can use your Maneuvering Attack maneuver with any weapon or spell attack.

Galeforce

At 14th level, whenever you roll for initiative and have zero Bardic Inspiration dice, you get two Inspiration dice back.
