Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

In the pursuit of true power some practitioners of the arcane arts delve towards the darker side of things, whether giving their souls to a powerful entity, making deals with devils, or needlessly sacrificing the lives of the people around them. In rarer cases some of the sorcerers find themselves quite literally searching through the dark, gazing deep into the abyss in search of the primordial chaos that makes up the very fabric of our existence. This in itself can easily break the wills of lesser people causing incurable madness and fear, trapping them within their own minds, but there are those who push through. The few who find themselves on the other end of the abyss are rewarded with the empty, infinite, dark of pre-creation, shattering their minds and granting them power they could never truly comprehend.

You have achieved what very few could ever hope to achieve, you have gazed into what lies beyond and were able to return to the material plane.  this comes with the benefits of power and knowledge but it is not without flaw, your mind is broken, and the boundaries between the planes seem to be ever shifting.  Unlike most sorcerers intellect is your best asset it is the strength behind all your magic.

Upon taking this sorcerous origin you immediately learn how to speak read and write in primordial and one other language of your choice.

Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your sorcerer spells. You use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a sorcerer spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

But your mind is shattered, every day roll a d6 which determines alignment. 1-2 lawful, 3-4 neutral, 5-6 chaotic.

and choose one quirk,

1. everything you think you say out loud

2. you cannot cast spells with verbal components unless you scream them

3. you talk to the other shattered versions of yourself constantly, especially at inopportune times

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Shattered soul spell table. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. These spells can’t be replaced when you gain a level in this class.
