Path of the Drunkard

Ale, Mead, or Wine. No matter the name, if it’s an alcoholic beverage you’ll be craving it. With Path of the Drunkard you’ll be stumbling around or falling on your arse downing bottles left and right. All while unleashing your reckless, drunken fury upon your enemies.

Acute Tolerance

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you’ve consumed so much alcohol that your body’s built up a natural resistance towards other harmful toxins. You gain resistance to poison damage and advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.

Drunken Rage

Also at 3rd level, you gain the ability to get drunk as you rage. Entering a drunken rage requires an alcoholic beverage such as ale or mead. During your drunken rage you have disadvantage on Intelligence checks and saving throws, but as long as you have at least 1 hit point you gain temporary hit points equal to your barbarian level at the start of each turn. Additionally, whenever you use reckless attack, you can make a melee attack as a bonus action. Spells such as Lesser Restoration or other effects that end the poisoned condition will instantly end your rage.

Backlash

At 6th level, you can drunkenly retaliate whenever a creature harms you. While in a drunken rage, whenever you take damage from a creature within melee range, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against that creature.

Hearty Blood

Starting at 10th level, the alcohol in your blood shields you from other toxic poisons. You are now immune to poison damage.

Drunkard’s Fury

At 14th level, while in a drunken rage, when you use reckless attack you can attack twice as a bonus action instead of once.
