Base Class: Monk
WAY OF THE GRAVITIC FIST
When monks embark on a journey of self discovery and understanding, some tend to drift towards implementing mercy and being patient. The Way of the Gravitic Fist is when a monk on their journey of self discovery decides to go about their findings in a different manner. Letting go of all they hold dear, releasing or aggression and pain, while reaching a form of tranquility allows that monk to begin to experience a true sense of freedom. As a result their Ki begins to flow in a more free and loose state, like air. And in doing so allows that monk through study and practice to control the very weight upon themselves as they free themselves from the very emotional weight that chained them to the ground.
Gravitic Flurry
3rd-level Way of the Gravitic Fist feature
Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:
- Its speed is reduced by a number of feet depending on your Monk level until the start of your next turn. The number of feat you can reduce a creature's speed by for each Monk level is as follows: Reduced by 15 feet at 3rd level, by 20 feet at 6th level, by 30 feet at 11th level, and reduced to 0 feet at 17th level.
- It must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on all weapon attack rolls it makes until the end of its next turn.
- It must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or drop all objects it is holding or wielding, Including all creatures it currently has grappled.
The Untethered One
6th-level Way of the Gravitic Fist feature
You now have resistance to Force and Bludgeoning damage.
In addition, as a bonus action, you can cast the Fly spell at 3rd Level, requiring no components, and your spellcasting ability for the spell is Wisdom. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Enhanced Gravitic Body
11th-level Way of the Gravitic Fist feature
When you take damage, you can use your reaction to expend Ki points and reduce that damage to you by an amount equal to five times the number of Ki points you expend.
Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can deal an extra 3d8 + your proficiency bonus Force Damage.
The Unchained
17th-level Way of the Gravitic Fist feature
You gain a flying speed equal to twice your walking speed.
As an action, you magically create an orb and hurl it at a point you choose within 200 feet, where it erupts into a sphere of gravitic energy for a brief but deadly instant. Each creature in that 20-foot-radius must make a Strength saving throw against your Ki save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 10d8 force damage and is knocked prone. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn’t knocked prone. A creature doesn’t need to make the save if the creature is behind total cover that is opaque. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish 1d4 long rests.
