Base Class: Rogue
The world is bound by an intricate weave of cause and effect that some call Fate. The Fate Gambler has learned to tap into and manipulate this web to their own benefit. Card Sharks, daredevils, and illegal bookies may all conform to this archetype.
Player of Games
When you choose this archetype at 3 Level you gain proficiency in deception. If you already had proficiency in deception you may double your proficiency bonus. You also gain proficiency in all gaming sets.
The Gambit
When you chose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain the ability to tap into the weave of fate to alter it for your own benefit. Whenever you or a creature you can see rolls an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can alter that result by D4. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all uses on a long rest.
Card Shark
At 3rd level your ability to see into the weave of fate has made you a master of games of chance. Whenever you engage in games of chance you have advantage on any skill check used to determine any outcomes of the game. At 11th level, once per day, you can also impose disadvantage on one opponent in a game of chance.
Reading Tells
Starting at 9th level, You gain a supernatural sense for reading people’s tells to know when they’re lying to you. You gain proficiency in Insight, or double your proficiency bonus if you already had proficiency. In addition, once per short rest you can look into the weave of fate to tell how people are manipulating it. For one minute you know whether anyone around you believes they are telling the truth or lying.
Legendarily Lucky
At 13th level, you gain the ability to alter the weave of fate. After a die has been rolled for an event that you can see, and the result declared, you can use your reaction to alter the result in such a way so as to make a failed check, save, or attack successful, or a successful check, save, or attack fail. Once you use this ability you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
Master of Fate
At 17th level you are now tapped into the weave of fate at all times, and can arrange it to match your pleasure. Your Legendarily Lucky feature now recharges on a short rest instead of a long rest, and when you use it you gain advantage on all checks, saves, and attacks for the following minute.
