Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Empathy is all about trying to communicate through art; whether that be dance, song, poetry, or any other form. But a simple tear down the cheek is never enough for these Bards, oh no. They need to see your emotion as plain as day - and they'll make sure you're as enthusiastic as possible about it.

Whether it be through summoning Sorrow, or evoking unending Joy, they always find a way to get the reaction they want. This subclass utilizes Emotive Arts - effects akin to spells that you can access via expending Bardic Inspiration slots. But it doesn't come without recompense on their part; so much energy from within spills into their own heart, affecting them in strange ways, too. It's a college that requires more tactic than some may think, as trying to bring your enemies to tear may end with you the only one bawling, before your head is used to go bowling.

Sorrow

Expending one use of Bardic Inspiration, you attack enemies in a 15ft cone before with with feelings of incredible sadness.

They must pass a Constitution Saving Throw against your Spellsave DC, or else be consumed by said grief. Should they fail, they will attack with Disadvantage for the next three turns. If they pass, however, they have to spend an action to wipe their eyes or take Disadvantage on their first attack after passing the check.

When you perform this song, no matter whether the enemies before you succeed or not, you succumb to the same effect as enemies who pass the Saving Throw.

Yearn

Your voice echoes out to all in a 30ft radius; if they are directly in opposition to you, they must succeed on a Charisma Saving Throw. If they fail, they begin to change their mind, becoming non-hostile. For the next minute, they are far more likely to listen to your pleas, empathising with your woes. What happens after this minute is up to you and your ability to talk them down from anything drastic.

If they succeed, however, they are immediately aware you attempted to enchant them. The pain in your heart makes you an easy target; enemies targeting you have Advantage on their first attack.

Oblivion

You've had enough of the fight; a resounding terror echoes from your very being, causing all in a 30ft radius of you to make an Intelligence Saving Throw. Should those in proximity fail, they will immediately become Frightened of you until they leave that radius. However, fleeing it means anyone who attacks them has Advantage.

This field remains for as long as you decide, but for as long as it does, you remain immobile in the centre. For this duration you are effectively Paralyzed.
