Cherished Soul

A sorcerer's magic can be sparked by the protection of someone who, in life, loved them enough to dedicate their soul to them after death. Very few Cherished Souls truly understand their origins, thinking instead that their powers are a manifestation of a latent bloodline. But never doubt it: someone loved you very dearly.

Beloved

Starting at 1st level, a hand is always there to guide and protect you. They stand between you and death's domain.
When your health drops to 0, you can choose to drop to 1 HP instead. In addition, if you fail a saving throw or miss with an attack roll, you can roll 2d4 and add it to the total, possibly changing the outcome.
You may use both abilities once before needing to finish a long rest.

At 6th level, you are capable of feats no one Sorcerer can accomplish alone.
Double your amount of known spells.

Magical Weaving

Your dual nature, whether known or unknown to you, has taught you how to harness magic in a similar capacity, stitching two spells together as if they were one. You gain the following metamagic option at level 14, it does not count against the metamagic options you know:

Stitched Spell

Expend a sorcery point to stitch together the traits of two spells. You cannot simultaneously cast two spells this way - rather, the auxiliary spell must, in some way, enhance the base spell, such as Knock being cast silently (Knock + Silence).

Self-love

The love of your soul-bound ally has helped you improve your relationship with yourself. Your magic has reacted and accepted this change.
At 18th level, all spells you cast on yourself double in their use. Any healing spell you cast on yourself will be treated as upcast by two levels. On a maximum level cast, the healing is doubled. Any spells that cannot be upcast double in proficiency, such as Shield providing a +10 to AC and mage armour becoming 13 + double your DEX modifier. This applied to spells cast through scrolls and magic items. The effect of any potion you ingest is similarly doubled in potency.
