Base Class: Barbarian
Those who follow the path of the rail may have once worked on the railways and submitted their bodies to extreme work and environmental conditions. These barbarians hone their rage to become unstoppable like the very locomotives that inspired them.
Bonus Proficiencies
3rd-level Path of the Railroad feature
You gain proficiency with smith's tools. In addition, whenever you make an Intelligence or Wisdom check related to railways, locomotives, or combustive devices, you can add twice your proficiency bonus, instead of any proficiency bonus you normally apply.
Full Steam Ahead!
3rd-level Path of the Railroad feature
As part of the same bonus action when you enter a rage, you can Dash and make one melee attack against a creature. If you move at least 10 feet in a straight line before making this bonus action, you have advantage on the attack. If you hit, the target is pushed up to 10 feet away from you and is knocked prone.
Whistling Fury
6th-level Path of the Railroad feature
While raging, you can use a bonus action to belt an ear-shattering battle cry. Creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw. A target takes 3d6 thunder damage on a failed save and is deafened for 1 minute. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and is not deafened.
The DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Chugging Along
10th-level Path of the Railroad feature
While raging, difficult terrain doesn’t cost you extra movement, and when you enter the space of a Large or smaller creature, you can push it 5 feet away from you.
End of the Line
14th-level Path of the Railroad feature
You have learned to power through death itself by your own steeled determination.
While you are raging and have 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to stall falling unconscious until your rage ends. If you choose to do so, you gain advantage on melee attack rolls using Strength until your rage ends and you cannot regain hit points. You must still make death saving throws, and you suffer the normal effects of taking damage while at 0 hit points. If you would die due to failing death saving throws, you do not die until your rage ends.
Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
