Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Dancing Flames stray away from traditional teachings Monks are associated with. These Monks are fueled by one's own desire rather than being spiritually enlightened. Their own desires and passions are the source of their power and the thing that had awakened their ki giving them abilities that can't be explained.

Dancing Embers

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, the ki in your body begins to combine with your fiery passion allowing you to manifest tangible flames that burn those that tango with you. As a bonus action, you may spend 1 ki point to surround your body in flames for 1 minute. While using Dancing Embers, you may choose to do fire damage rather than bludgeoning damage. While in this form, you are resistant to fire damage and you gain a bonus to your unarmed strike damage rolls equal to half your proficiency bonus rounded up.

Flying Sparks

At 6th level, you begin to pick up the pace causing sparks to fly. Each time you reduce an enemy to 0, your speed increases by 5 to a maximum of 20. In addition, your speed can barely be tracked, when you use Step of the Wind, you don't provoke opportunity attacks when moving out of an enemy's range. When you've built up speed due to Flying Sparks, you may forfeit one of your attacks when you take the attack action to expend the extra movement to move rapidly causing sparks to fly off your body. Any creature within 5 feet of you must make a dexterity saving throw or take damage equal to an amount of martial arts die based on how much movement you expended from Flying Sparks. (Ex. Expending 5 feet of movement granted by Flying Sparks allows you to roll one martial arts die for damage.) Your flames also count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances. Also, when dealing with a creature with immunity to fire damage, their immunity is now treated as resistance when damaged by you're fire.

Your movement increase maximum becomes 30 at level 11, then becomes 40 at level 17.

Roaring Flames

By 11th level, your tenacity and passion burns brighter than any other, which causes your enemies to get burned by your roaring flames. Whenever you use your Flurry of Blows, your final punch has built up enough heat to severely burn your foe that it causes long-term damage, the targeted creature must make a constitution saving throw or take damage equal to your martial arts die plus your wisdom modifier, and their hit point maximum is decreased by the total damage dealt. Their hit point maximum goes back to normal after a long rest.

Blazing Fireworks

At 17th level, you can be compared to a firework exploding in the night sky at a festival. When you use your Patient Defense, your concentration on evading attacks increases the intensity of your flames. If an enemy misses you with a melee attack, they take damage equal to your Monk level. In addition, when you are hit by a melee attack while using Patient Defense, your flames flare up and explode causing everyone within 5 of you to take damage equal to twice your Monk level.
