Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Scribe wizards believed that the practice of arcane arts are best shared to society and the masses by trying to make it as simple as possible. They also look into the beauty of magic even outside wizardry. They have mastered harnessing the magic from scrolls and perfected the practices of ritual casting. They tend to study details of the arcane deeper than any school and explore the synergy between spells casted from different sources.

Scroll Mastery

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, you can cast spells from scrolls with relative ease. When you cast a spell within the wizard spell list from a scroll, you must make an ability check using your spellcasting ability (Intelligence) to determine whether you cast it successfully. The DC equals 5 + the spell’s level - half of your wizard level (rounded up). On a failed check, the spell disappears from the scroll with no other effect.

At level 6, you will also gain the ability to harness magic from spell scrolls outside your wizard spell list. When casting a spell from a scroll outside the wizard spell list, you must make an ability check using your spellcasting ability (Intelligence) to determine whether you cast it successfully. The DC equals 10 + the spell’s level - half of your wizard level. On a failed check, the spell disappears from the scroll with no other effect.

Scribe's Pride

Starting at 2nd level, you can use a writing tool as your arcane focus. Your superb capacity to communicate words through penmanship also allows you to substitute verbal components of spells as somatic when using a writing tool as your arcane focus.

Uncanny Preparation

Your knowledge in scribing allows you understand other wizards’ scribing. Starting at 6th level, you can prepare a spell from spellbooks in your possession other than your own. A spell prepared this way count as two prepared spells.

Ritual Scholar

Beginning at 6th level, you can copy non-wizard spells with a ritual tag from spell scrolls to your spellbook, but you can only cast them as rituals.

Efficient Scribing

Starting at 10th level, you can scribe spell scrolls from your spellbook faster than normal. Creating scrolls from a spellbook takes the same amount of time and resources as copying a spell from the scroll to a spellbook, 2 hours per spell level up to a maximum of 8 hours per day (Cantrips take 1 hour).

Scenario Scroll

Starting at 10th level, once every long rest, you can meditate on a scroll and imagine all possible uses of it. As long as you hold the scroll, casting that spell would take one bonus action instead and you will be are allowed to cast spells other than cantrips on your action in the same turn.

Arcane Augmentation

Starting at 14th level, when casting a spell using either a spell scroll or a spell slot you can use your bonus action to expend another spell slot or another spell scroll to improve the potency of your magic. You can add half of the level of spell slot/spell scroll (rounded up) you will expend to the spell attack roll or the spell save DC of the spell you casted.
