The Way of Acoustics teaches those who practice it to honor the power of sound in all of its capacity. With strong movements involving heavy stomps and thunderous punches. They focus their ki into their techniques turning sound into their ally.
Fists of Frequency
3rd-level Way of Silence feature
Upon taking this subclass, you can infuse your ki into your movements and techniques to use spell like abilities. You gain access to these spells at the following levels. Additionally, your unarmed strikes can deal thunder damage instead of bludgeoning.
3rd level - Cantrips - Booming Blade, Thunderclap
5th level - 1st - Thunderous Smite, Thunderwave
7th level - 2nd - Shatter, Silence
9th level - 3rd - Thunder Step, Tongues
Reverberating Strike
6th-level Way of Silence feature
Mastering a new way to focus your ki, your blows begin to echo through your opponent even after you complete your strike. You gain the following two abilities.
- Your unarmed strikes deal an additional die of thunder damage equal to your martial arts die.
- You can spend 2 ki points any time you land a successful unarmed strike to force the target to make a Constitution saving throw. Upon a failure, double the amount of damage that was rolled and knock them prone. On a success, the target suffers no additional damage and no other effects.
Dampening Aura
11th-level Way of Silence feature
Your mastery of sound has reached the degree that sound around you seems to bend to your will. You gain the following abilities.
- You become immune to Thunder damage
- You and allies you choose within 5 feet of you can cast their spells silently without the need of verbal components.
Destructive Decibel
17th-level Way of Silence feature
You harness your ki into uttering a single word with such weight it becomes a destructive wave of sound. You can expend 5 ki points to utter a single word that forces all enemy creatures within a 60ft radius to make a Constitution saving throw. They are dealt 8d10 Thunder damage and are deafened for 1 minute on a failed save, or half as much on a success with no additional effect. At the end of each of their turn they may repeat the save to end the condition early. You can expend an additional ki point to add 1d8 Thunder damage to destructive decibel for each additional ki point expended.
