Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards from the College of Shanties are experts in songs that are easy to sing along to, and have a tune that makes working together in rhythm much easier. These bards often end up on ships or other places where it is essential for a group to work together to accomplish certain tasks. Which is also why they end up as excellent adventuring partners.

Start a Shanty

3rd lvl College of Shanties Feature:

As an action you start to sing a shanty that is easy to sing along to. The shanty ends in 1 minute or when you lose concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell). Choose three creatures that can hear you within 30 feet of you. Whenever a target makes an attack roll or a saving throw before the shanty ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw. Additionally, a target can choose to sing along to the shanty as a bonus action. In doing so they upgrade the die that they get to roll and all other chosen targets of the shanty (d4>d6>d8>d10>d12) up to a maximum of your bardic inspiration die. You can expend one bardic inspiration die to add another creature to the shanty.

All Together Now!

3rd lvl College of Shanties Feature:

Your talents help groups work better and more coordinated. Whenever there is a group check or a check that multiple creatures do in quick succession. You can perform for them using your action, giving them advantage on that check.

Inspiring Command

6th lvl College of Shanties Feature:

Your songs gives your allies opportunity to strike. Whenever you give a creature bardic inspiration, that creature gets to make an attack immediately as a reaction.

Catchy Tune

6th lvl College of Shanties Feature:

Your music is so catchy that it is impossible to forget. When you give a creature bardic inspiration, roll a bardic inspiration die and record the result. As long as the recipient has your bardic inspiration die, they treat a roll lower than the recorded number, as being that number instead.

Lead by Example

14th lvl College of Shanties Feature:

Nothing can stop your shanty, and your crew is more in sync than ever. You no longer need to maintain concentration on your shanty. Additionally, whatever action you take during your turn, those who are affected by your shanty can do that same action on their next turn as a bonus action. If you made an attack, creatures affected by your shanty can make an additional attack as a bonus action. If you casted a spell, creatures affected by your shanty can cast a spell requiring an action as a bonus action. if you either Disengage, Dodge, Dash or use the Help action, creatures affected by your shanty can do that action as a bonus action on their next turn.
