Extract Ki
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can extract the hidden lifeforce, ki, from your enemies using an ancient technique that is taught generation to generation. Once per turn, when you hit with an unarmed strike for the first time this turn, you make a Wisdom check against the target's DC (8 + target's Constitution modifier). If you succeed, you regain a number of ki points equal to half your Wisdom modifier (at a minimum of 1).
Ki Mastery
At 3rd level, you gain further understanding of ki, allowing you to pull further strength from your body. You gain two extra ki point to use, you get an additional two at levels 6, 11, and 17.
Cosmic Experience
Beginning at 6th level, you can call upon the wisdom of the universe to aid in all times. Whenever you make a saving throw or ability check that doesn't use your Wisdom modifier, you can spend 3 ki points to add your Wisdom modifier in addition to the roll.
Mastered Arts
At 11th level, you've trained your Ki abilities beyond that of one typically would, allowing greater use of them. Your Ki abilities; Flurry of Blows, Step of the Wind, and Patient Defense, are all upgraded.
- Flurry of Blows. When you use Flurry of Blows, you can spend additional ki to add an additional Martial Arts die to the damage, one ki per attack.
- Step of the Wind. If you use Step of the Wind to take the Dash action, your speed increases by a number of feet equal to 5 times your Wisdom modifier. If you use Step of the Wind to take the Disengage action, the next attack against you automatically misses.
- Patient Defense. When you use Patient Defense, you gain an additional number of reactions to use equal to your Wisdom modifier. These additional reactions can only be used for Deflect Missiles.
Greater Extraction
At 11th level, your growing understanding of ki allows you to pull more from increasingly more powerful foes. When you succeed on your Extract Ki check, you regain a number of ki points equal to your Wisdom modifier.
Wuxi Finger Hold
At 17th level, your training and research into the property of ki has culminated in this one move, the Wuxi Finger Hold. Holding the creature's index finger between your index finger and your thumb, with your pinky raised high. When you hit with an unarmed strike, you can initiate this hold, spending 5 ki points to cast banishment on the creature, the save DC being your ki save DC.
