Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Combining a natural affinity for stealth with years of training in archery and a proclivity for clever approaches to adverse situations, you have finely perfected the art of attacking with surprise at range. You reliably stick to shadows, coming out of hiding only to unleash ranged strikes or sprint to your next hiding place.

Quick Reflexes

In combat you have learned to prioritize alertness, giving you a proficiency bonus in both perception and acrobatics. If you already have proficiency in either skill then it is converted to expertise.

Focused Shot

Building off of your experience in combat, you have recognized the value of attacking from stealth at range and have developed several special techniques when you are able to focus on your actions.

Focus counters.

Starting at 3rd level you are given 2 focus counters, which are expended after use. Expended counters are replenished after a short or long rest. You get two additional counters at level 9 and one additional counter at levels 13 and 17.

Focus

When you make a ranged attack while hidden, you can use an available focus counter to make one of the three potential focus attacks listed below without breaking stealth, or use a reaction to Side Step and Stab when an enemy's action breaks stealth.

Focus Attacks

Steady Shot Using your bonus action to brace yourself, you can make a more accurate and powerful attack, dealing an additional 1d6 in damage with a +2 to hit.

Malicious Shot You are able to quickly recognize and exploit an enemy's weakness, allowing a roll to hit of 20 or more after modifiers to count as a critical hit. Can be used only once per encounter.

Quick Shot You put all of your energy into quickly aiming and firing rapidly, allowing you to use your bonus action to make an additional attack, ignoring the loading property if applicable.

Side Step and Stab As a reaction to being discovered, you rush from your hiding place, taking your whole movement speed then hide with advantage.

Improved Focus

Starting at 9th level your focus attacks get slightly more sophisticated. After deciding which focus attack to use you can attempt to achieve the following special effect.

Your Steady Shot also stuns an opponent that fails a Constitution Saving Throw with a DC of 10 plus your Proficiency Bonus and Strength Modifier. On a failed save they incapacitated until the end of their next turn.

Upon passing a Perception Check of 23 minus your Wisdom Modifier you are able to make a second Malicious Shot later in the same encounter provided the first one was successful.

Passing a Sleight of Hand check of 23 minus your Dexterity Modifier allows you to fire off a third Quick Shot, adding an additional weapon die plus half your proficiency bonus.

If the enemy that triggers your Side Step and Stab fails a Dexterity Saving Throw of 10 plus your Proficiency Bonus and Dexterity Modifier you can make an opportunity of attack before hiding.

Shadow Savant

Starting at 13th level you can use your reaction during your turn to take the hide action.

Pushing Limits

Starting at 17th level if you start an encounter with two or less focus counters you regain an additional 1d4 counters before taking your first turn.
