Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Gambler's can gamble with magic. this includes buffing and debuffing both allies and enemies. As they grow in power, the versatility of their gambling with magic increases, allowing techniques that can have higher rewards, but come along with higher risk.

Magic Coin

The gambler uses a coin as their focus, and flips it while envisioning their intention using a bonus action. The result is either a buff or a debuff, depending on whether they have won or lost the bet. The effect and duration of a gamble is up to the DM to decide, and a gamble cannot be made until the prior gamble has lost it's effect. For example, if the intention is "I want to be stronger" and the result is a loss, the gambler may have disadvantage on strength checks and saving throws for the next minute. Effects can include buffs, debuffs, healing, harming, advantage, disadvantage, or any other effect that the DM will allow.

Double or Nothing

As an action you can reuse your Magic Coin, offering the possibility of either doubling your debuff, or removing it and granting double the original successful bet.[roll]1d4-2[/roll]

Blackjack

Once per long rest, Roll D10s and add them together counting 1s as either a 1 or an 11. Up to 20, the caster chooses a target and an ability score and their modifier becomes half of the result of the d10 rolls. On a 21, they gain the bonus to their modifier for checks, and if they attack, it's guaranteed to be a critical hit. If you go over 21, however, the target modifier becomes negative half of the result. You can stop rolling at any time, however may not continue to roll after you have passed 21.

Card Counting

You have grown so accustomed to gambling with magic, that you have gained the ability to slightly manipulate the outcome of your gambles. Every time you use Magic Coin, roll an intelligence check, and if it is 10 or higher it is an automatic successful bet. On 9 or lower, use Magic coin as you normally would, flipping a coin to determine success. Whenever you use Blackjack, make an intelligence check, and if it is above 10, you may reroll the final d10 if you bust. If it is a 9 or lower, use blackjack as you normally would.
