Base Class: Ranger
The army of knights rush towards a cloaked man in an open field. Running is futile when outnumbered to this degree. All you can do is surrender. Or so you'd think. The cloaked man assumes a crouched position as he launches himself into the air, exploding with purple energy at the height of his jump. As the explosion fades, the soldiers freeze, witnessing the glowing void bow within his hand. As the man draws his bow, the release of the massive arrow seems almost instant as it strikes the ground where the soldiers once stood. Anyone in the blast disintegrates within seconds as nearly a half of the soldiers seem to disappear. The Voidstalker draws his bow once again...
Arcane Arrows
Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to fuse your arrows with spells. Your eyes and bow as you pull back the string, a glowing arrow completely coated by arcane magic manifesting in the bow as it takes the form of the spell you wish whatever it may be. You can use cantrips, first level spells, second level spells or third level spells to do this and must obey the rules of the spell used. These function in the same way your ranger spells function.
Magic Empowerment
- Your movement speed increases by 15 feet
- You can now Lunge, an enchantments to jump that launches you equal to your movement speed. When lunging as a bonus action away from a creature, you don't provoke attacks of opportunity from that creature only for the rest of the turn.
- Arcane energy empowers your movement and pushes you away from the ground when you fall. When you take fall damage, you may reduce said damage by 5 times your ranger level.
- Your reflexes become lightning quick and now you can use your reaction to attempt to dodge before an attack hits by imposing disadvantage to it. Once you use this feature a number of times equal to your dexterity modifier, you must finish a short or long rest to replenish it again.
Arcane Boost
Using your stores of magical power, you can enhance your abilities for a short period of time. As a bonus action, you can activate one of the following effects. The effects last for 1 minute.
- Spell Shield By creating a cloak of energy around your body, you have a +2 to your armour class.
- Arcane Vision Your eye colour changes purple and the world is a purple hue. Grants True Seeing.
- Spell Sniper If you do not use your movement this turn, all attacks are made with advantage and an additional d8 force damage.
Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest to do so again.
Void Bow
You've unlocked the void energy within you. Your eyes burst with magic and give off a purple aura. You can produce a bow made from this energy and with every pull of the magic thread, a void arrow generates within the bow. As an action, you may shoot up to 3 times from the bow. Each arrow bursts into a 10-foot-radius sphere of void energy, a creature in this radius must make a dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 10d6 force damage. Any creature that dies from this ability disintegrates immediately. After using this feature, you must finish a long rest before using it again.
