Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Welcome to the world of Pokémon. This subclass opens up the opportunity to use Pokémon in battle instead of your character.

Pokémon

You can choose up to six Pokémon to battle for you.

On encountering a monster or another Pokémon Trainer, you may use your reaction to send out a Pokémon in your place. That Pokémon will fight in your place. A Pokémon's move takes the place of a Player's action.

Pokémon will lose HP when damaged. If they lose too much HP, they will faint and will be unable to battle until revived. Pokémon can be healed by normal healing spells or medicine.

Move Effectiveness

Moves used by Pokémon will be more or less effective against other Pokémon depending on the type of the move and the Pokémon.

Super-effective moves will do double damage, whereas not-very-effective moves will do half.

Details on super-effective and not-very-effective moves can be found online.

Bicycle

At 9th level, you receive a special bike form a lottery. This bike allows you to double your movement speed, making trips between places much faster.

Professor's Guidance

At 13th level, you begin receiving guidance from the Pokémon Professor. For every Intelligence-related check, add +2 to your dice roll. However, for every Wisdom-related check, roll a d20. If you roll a 1, the Professor claims that now isn't the time to do what you were doing, and restricts that action until you enter a new situation. You must do the same for riding your bike as well now.

Pokémon League Champion

After many grueling trials against other Pokémon Trainers, you have defeated the Pokémon League and become the new Champion. You may add +1 to all Charisma-related rolls.
