Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of  Life is an ancient oath, created by the elves and gods of life, taken by those who value life at all costs. They strive to stop those who kill unnecessary life, whether it be intelligent life of that of nature. They strive to stop all that may threaten that life, but will only kill if necessary to protect it; they value health and will do anything to keep the majority healthy.

Nature. You must protect nature and help spread it, bringing life and beauty to the world.

Life. You must value life at all costs, only kill when that life puts more life at risk. Keep the world around you healthy and help it grow old, contest those who are doing the opposite. Evil and destruction must not only be stopped, but prevented. Punish those who threaten this peace. Always fight the greater evil.

Honesty and Honour. Stay honourable and truthful, fair fights are necessary and lying is unacceptable. Tell the truth at all costs, whether it may disadvantage you, you must make fair fights. Respect those who deserve it, not those who say they deserve it.

Love and Compassion. Love those around you, love romantically, sexually and platonically, and treat those around you with kindness. Do no let prejudice or biases blind you and think of someone as less to you, equality is essential to life.

Justice and Vengeance. Evil that has affected life in the past must be punished, whether it affected yourself, a town, or an entire race.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Sacred Weapon. As an action, you can imbue one weapon that you are holding with positive energy, using your Channel Divinity. For 1 minute, you add your Charisma modifier to attack rolls made with that weapon (with a minimum bonus of +1). The weapon also emits bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light 20 feet beyond that. If the weapon is not already magical, it becomes magical for the duration.

You can end this effect on your turn as part of any other action. If you are no longer holding or carrying this weapon, or if you fall unconscious, this effect ends.

Blind. As a bonus action, you may present a holy symbol to a creature, who must make a saving charisma saving throw, which if failed, will blind them for their next turn, and 2 for undead creatures.

Blinded creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against other creatures, and other creatures have advantage on attack rolls against the blinded creature. Any ability check that requires sight is automatically failed.
