Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

Many cultures have stories about the personification of death: a robed skeletal figure wielding a scythe, an immortal judge and arbiter that decides your afterlife, or even a boatman who ferries souls along a river of blood. Rogues who become Reapers are sometimes mistaken for these myths, striking like lightning and harnessing the power of the souls they take to restore themselves.

Dash Strike

You have mastered the art of striking on the move. You gain an additional way to use your Sneak Attack: when you take the Dash action (or use your Cunning Action to Dash as a bonus action), you can make one melee weapon attack as part of that action. If the attack hits, you can apply your sneak attack damage to the damage inflicted.

Nimble

You gain proficiency in the Acrobatics skill if you don't already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses this proficiency.

Soul Thief

Your most decisive strikes cut so deep, they pierce the soul and draw on its power. When you use your Dash Strike feature, you can substitute the sneak attack damage type for force damage. When you do this, you can also do one of three options:

  • You regain hit points equal to half the force damage dealt.
  • You end one condition currently active on yourself.
  • You remove one level of exhaustion that you have.

You can use these options a total of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all expended uses after a long rest.

Reaper's Flight

Your targets cannot escape you, even those in the skies. When you take the Dash action (or use your Cunning Action to Dash as a bonus action), you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed until the end of your turn, where you will either land on the ground or drop to the ground.

Harvest Essence

Your prowess in drawing on the power of the soul includes those that are trying to pass from this life. When you kill a creature of CR ¼ or higher (or of character level 1 or higher if applicable), you regain an expended use of Soul Thief.
