Base Class: Blood Hunter
You draw your power from a great plague that swept your land, learning to use the very blood in your veins as blade and bonesaw.
Rite of Pestilence
When you join this order at 3rd level, you learn the Rite of Pestilence as part of your Crimson Rite feature. When you activate the Rite of Pestilence, the extra damage dealt by your rite is poison damage. Additionally, while that rite is active on your weapon, you gain the following benefits:
- A light fog surrounds you, laying mist over a 30 ft sphere centered on you.
- You have resistance to poison damage.
- When a creature is hit with a weapon under the rite's effects, they must succeed on a blood maledict Con save, or be subject to a plague of your choosing.
Plague Keeper
When you gain this feature, you learn a number of ways to plague your enemies. You learn one plague from the list below, and one more at 6th and 14th level. You can inflict these curses through your rite of pestilence. You can inflict a plague a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
Plague of Agony
A creature under the effects of this plague has disadvantage on concentration saving throws, and must roll to maintain concentration when the curse is applied. In addition, the creature loses its reaction for half the duration of the curse, rounded down.
Amplified: When amplified, a creature must repeat concentration saving throws at the end of each of its turns, and loses its reactions for the full duration of the curse.
Plague of Bloating
A creature under the effects of this plague has disadvantage on dexterity saving throws, as well as weapon attack rolls. This plague lasts half as long as a standard plague
Amplified: When amplified, the plague lasts the standard duration, as well as affecting all attack rolls.
Plague of Decay
A creature under the effects of this plague suffers an amount of damage equal to a roll of your Hemocraft die, halved and rounded down at the end of each of its turns.
Amplified: When amplified, the damage done by this curse is not halved.
Plague of Lethargy
A creature under the effects of this plague has disadvantage on dexterity saves, and its movement is reduced by 10ft
Amplified: When amplified, the creature's speed is instead reduced by half.
Plague of Weakness
A creature under the effects of this plague has disadvantage on Strength checks and saving throws. In addition, whenever this creature makes a melee attack roll, the damage is reduced by a roll of your Hemocraft Die + your correlated modifier.
Amplified: When amplified, the damage reduction is doubled.
Plagued Miasma
Upon reaching 7th level, when a creature afflicted by your plague dies, its miasma infects nearby creatures. When a creature that you can see dies while under the effect of one of your amplified plagues, you may use your reaction to choose an amount of creatures within 20 feet equal to your proficiency bonus. These creatures are afflicted by the base form of the plague for half the duration.
You can use this feature an amount equal to half your proficiency modifier, rounded down. All uses are regained on a long rest.
Brand of Sickness
Starting at 11th level, your Brand of Castigation weakens your foes to the sickness wrought upon them. Foes afflicted by your Brand of Castigation have disadvantage on Plague Saves.
Blood Curse of The Wretch
At 15th level, your curses share much with your plagues, and thus you can utilize your curses to a similar end as your plagues. As an action, you can touch a creature (melee spell attack) and instill it with sickness. A creature subject to this must succeed on a constitution saving throw or start vomiting uncontrollably. The creature is incapacitated and prone for your Plague Duration.
Amplify. The cursed creature takes 2d6 acid damage, and takes this damage at the end of each of its turns until the Plague ends.
Accursed Infection
Upon reaching 18th level, you gain the ability to use your curses and plagues interchangeably. Curses can not be amplified when delivered through your Rite of Pestilence, but Plagues can be amplified when delivered using a Blood Maledict.
